For a beautiful dildo, look no further than the indie and fantasy sex toy scene.
Beyond dragons, monsters, and furries, indie shops offer a wealth of dildos shaped like human penises. Some are accurate recreations with intense details, while others are human-shaped with a fantastical twist.
A fun fantasy and great texture get me off. But a nice curve, thick head, and filling shaft are keys that turn many dildos from good to great—all features common in a standard human penis. It’s no wonder I’m a fan. And I’m keen on human fantasies on top of the rest; I write plenty of them myself.
I dove into the offerings of indie and fantasy toy shops to see what kinds of human and human-adjacent dildos they carry. Nearly every shop has some variation on this classic design. They’re guaranteed to be completely body-safe since they’re made from platinum cure silicone using standard safety practices, and they come in almost any color imaginable.
While this article includes toys in the shape of a standard human penis, there are also transmasc-based toys of both fantastical and realistic varieties out there on the market. Check out my other article for info on those toys. (And if the phrase “human-shaped” brings to mind an entire body, there’s a dildo for that, too.)
The reviews below are split into two categories: Human (realistic and stylized dildos) and Fantasy (dildos that are mostly human, but feature fantastical traits). Reviews cover vaginal use unless otherwise specified. The listed prices are the models’ base prices in the given size as of October 2023, converted to USD, and may change over time or be subject to upcharges for colors or added features. Always check the shop’s own site for the most up-to-date info on price and availability.
All toys below are platinum cure silicone, which is soft and springy. They feel similar to tensed muscle (firmness 00-50) or relaxed muscle (firmness 00-30 or A00).

Hero (Hodge Podge Entourage)
Size: Medium (5″ usable length, 2.25″ diameter)
Firmness: Soft 00-30
Color: Dark purple, light purple, cyan shimmer
Features: Gentle curve, balls, low texture
Price: $90
Availability: Inventory only
Hero from Hodge Podge Entourage is a stout and straightforward dildo whose design centers on shape and girth. Coming from Hodge Podge Entourage, it has the bonus of being available in the shiniest and most shimmery colors, with a super glossy finish that shows off the intense shimmer.
The glossy finish makes Hero glide smoothly in use with minimal friction. It makes this a very easy to use toy, even when not warmed up, making for a filling yet forgiving experience. Despite my preference for more heavily textured toys, I really enjoy the smoothness on Hero for the butter-like smoothness it offers in use. The way that it glides makes it work excellently with toy handles. Minimal friction means it’s easy to use at any speed.
It takes a minute to insert due to the girth, but once it’s inside, it’s comfortable like a cushion. Fullness without the stretch.
The underside of the curve presses very nicely against my front wall. Between that and the balls being very easy to hold, taking Hero from behind is my favorite way to use it.
The ridge on the head is prominent, but not overwhelming. It suits the design well. In soft firmness, I can feel it as a vague yet nice sensation, offering constant stimulation.
With the relatively small base and with the girth not being too much, I can ride or sit on Hero while getting myself off externally. However, due to the smoothness, lube dries up fast, so this isn’t comfortable for more than a couple minutes at a time without reapplying lube.
As far as oral use goes, Hero is a bit of a challenge to fit, but in a satisfying way. Unfortunately, the glossy finish gives it a very rubbery feel, so it’s not my favorite.
Unfortunately, I can’t get off easily with Hero. It doesn’t tick my favorite boxes: There’s too little texture, it’s not firm enough to offer G-spot stimulation, and it’s not long enough for my tastes. I had hoped the shape and head would make up for these, but for me personally, they do not. I find myself finishing the job with something else.
Hero is a solid pick thanks to its gentle curve, notable head, and stout, girthy size. As a short and smooth dildo, it works well for me as a warm-up toy, and I enjoy the smoothness and curve more than I expected to. While it’s not perfectly to my tastes, it’s well designed to make the most of its traits.
Adventurer (Masterwork Toys)
Size: Medium (6.5″ usable length, 2″ diameter)
Firmness: Medium 00-50
Color: Blue, teal
Features: Curve, balls, high texture
Price: $75 (Paid $70 due to flop discount)
Availability: Inventory or custom (contact shop for info)
Adventurer from Masterwork Toys is highly detailed and realistic. I’ve reviewed it previously and my opinions remain the same: It’s a fantastic toy and the perfect size for me.
It feels nice and thick inside me; the girth is perfect for my tastes and not too squishy. The firmness is perfect for me, density-wise, but the texture is so prominent that maybe I should have gone for soft instead. That said, the toy that I have is the original, legacy onesize version. The newer version in medium size is smoother, neater, and slightly different in size, but otherwise the same as this one; it looks like it would be a better fit for me texture-wise.
The head pops in and out very nicely, and the ridge continues to provide stimulation internally. The ridge popping in is strong enough to be nearly painful, so I’m hesitant to use this on my most sensitive days. The foreskin and frenulum are highly detailed, adding additional sensation and friction. The overall texture on the shaft adds drag, making the ride less smooth and more intense. The continued textured sensation deep inside is one of my favorite things about Adventurer.
The dildo needs to be held in place when riding, but is a great experience for both riding and thrusting. Using this toy in standard orientation, I get the sensation from the coronal ridge along my G-spot and a solid hit when the blunt tip hits my A-spot. Reversed, the underside of the curve provides constant G-spot stimulation; the curve and texture make this an excellent experience. I prefer taking the toy’s full length, but even half of it at a time is great, as the head presses against my G-spot.
The Adventurer makes me “cream” in a way that other toys don’t, which I suspect is due to the prominent ridge. Personally, I love this, as I enjoy the visual aspect.
Adventurer remains one of my favorite toys thanks to its texture, size, and fantastic curve. It’s no wonder, then, that I also ended up getting one in large.
Size: Large (7.5″ usable length, 2.5″ diameter)
Firmness: Soft 00-30
Color: Brown, pink
Features: Curve, balls, moderate texture
Price: $90
Availability: Inventory or custom (contact shop for info)
Adventurer in large is an experience. This is a totally different toy from the medium size version that I have. It’s colossal. It pushes my limits and makes me question what size I can truly handle.
This is one to save for days when I can do a nice long warmup to stretch out first. Once it’s in, I can really feel the stretch; it’s almost painful, but not quite there, the perfect spot right before “too much.”
Unlike a swell, there is no thinner portion near the base to offer relief from the thickness, making this more of a challenge to keep in than a swell is.
Soft firmness is excellent. It fills me up easily but isn’t as unforgiving as medium firmness would be. The coronal ridge remains strong, but not punchy.
I miss out on the benefits of the curve and the texture because large Adventurer is all girth. It’s good for a slow ride and gentle thrusting, and it’s absolutely delicious. When I’ve got a fantasy of a man with a monster-size cock, this satisfies that craving.
Fat Bob (Neotori)
Size: Small (6″ usable length, 2.2″ diameter)
Firmness: Standard A00
Color: Dark shimmery blue, white, translucent
Features: Gentle curve, foreskin, low texture
Price: $63 ($80 for a custom like mine: +suction cup +three colors, one of which is metallic)
Availability: Inventory or custom
Fat Bob boasts a funky curve and is one of the more uniquely shaped non-fantastical human dildos around. I’ve enjoyed Neotori’s other toys, especially with their skin-like finish, and looked forward to this one. While the shape is human enough to fit in this category, Fat Bob is represented on their site by a leather daddy anthro bear. The pour I received is a beautiful combination of frosty colors, featuring a blue iridescence across the full toy.
I really don’t know what to think about that curve. Honestly. It’s not bad, but not quite to my taste. Like a food that you try and keep going back to try again because you can’t figure out how to feel about it. I couldn’t really tell you if I like it or not. It isn’t like your typical G-spotting curve and I can’t get A-spot stim, but neither is it uncomfortable. Fat Bob isn’t that easy to thrust, and I think the curve is part of the reason.
The head is blunt and slightly flared. It provides constant all-around stimulation, which I don’t always get from toys with more tapered heads, so that’s a big plus. With just the head inserted, I can get some gentle G-spot stimulation.
Fat Bob’s girth is an excellent size for me, leaving me nicely filled. It’s easy to sit on it and masturbate externally. When fully inserted, I can just feel the belt at my entrance, offering a little more excitement than the shaft.
The smoothness doesn’t do much for me. It’s actually much smoother than I expected, and it glides more than it drags despite Neotori’s matte finish.
The suction cup is pretty strong, but I don’t find myself using it often as it’s easy enough to hold the base with my hands.
I can see Fat Bob appealing to those who prefer a smoother ride, but it’s a little too plain for my tastes.
Titan (Paladin Pleasure Sculptors)

Firmness: Medium 00-50
Color: Purple, silver, translucent
Features: Curve, foreskin, low texture
Price: $70
Availability: Inventory only

Titan from Paladin Pleasure Sculptors features a classic curve, prominent head, gentle dotted texture, and an easy-to-hold base reminiscent of balls.
In small size it’s slightly smaller than my typical size preference, yet it feels filling at the base. It’s firm enough to make me feel like it’s stretching me. It works well when I want a smaller toy with less warm-up required. It provides some nice G-spot stimulation and, when fully inserted, a little A-spot stimulation.
The ridge of the head is notable: Smooth enough to not catch or be harsh, but prominent enough to feel it pop in and out. Despite the smaller size, I really enjoy this feature of the toy and it would be worth purchasing for that alone.
I benefit from the stimulation of the bumps around the middle of the toy, but I have a hard time actively identifying the sensation. The bumps are too soft and subtle for my preference, but given that this is a small toy with gentle texture, that’s not a surprise. The bumps are okay for grinding against, but again, I would have preferred firmer.
Titan is enjoyable for thrusting. The base can be grasped easily as long as it’s not slick. There’s not anything to grind against at the base, and the base isn’t heavy enough to make riding easy.
As for anal use, Titan in small is a 10/10. I need to warm up to use it because it’s definitely a stretch, but once warmed up, it’s so nice. I’m so sensitive that I can’t handle much texture, so the minimal texture is excellent. It’s filling and a very nice shape that provides a smooth, gentle experience, without feeling too soft or underwhelming.
Size: Medium (7″ usable length, 2.2″ diameter)
Firmness: Medium 00-50
Color: Metallic pink, green, yellow, purple
Features: Curve, foreskin, low texture
Price: $95
Availability: Inventory only
Titan in medium size is easily one of my favorite dildos. Whether I’m warmed up or not, it’s the perfect size and shape, and it always offers an incredible session.
The size is very comfortable. It feels big without actually being too big; it’s never uncomfortable or too much of a stretch. This might actually be the perfect specs for me.
The curve is so nice. With the head pressing against my front wall, I get solid, punchy G-spot or A-spot stim. Turned the other way so the underside presses against my front wall, I get constant pressure against my G-spot. Both positions are absolutely amazing.
The ridge of the head is smooth enough to not catch or be harsh, but prominent enough to feel it pop in and out.
Titan’s texture is subtle. It lets me move quickly without discomfort or chafing, making for a very smooth ride, yet the bumps provide extra stimulation that takes the experience to the next level. The only downside is that the texture is not prominent enough; I end up wanting more.
Despite my love for strong texture, Titan remains one of my faves thanks to how it excels in every other detail.
Caelus (Paladin Pleasure Sculptors)
Size: Medium (7.5″ usable length, 2″ diameter)
Firmness: Medium 00-50
Color: Cherry Blossoms (semitranslucent pink, semitranslucent blue, pale purple, light gold)
Features: Subtle swell, low texture
Price: $80
Availability: Inventory only

Caelus is my chill warm-up friend. It’s the thinnest of Paladin Pleasure Sculptors’ Elemental Line, but only a little beneath my preferred specs, so it’s easily within range to make me feel filled. I can pop Caelus in when I don’t want to warm up before inserting a dildo, or if I’m trying to work up to something on the larger side.
I cannot insert Caelus all the way since it’s longer than the max length I can take. This gives me an easier time if I’m riding on the floor without something to prop it up, since the height boost keeps positioning from getting too awkward, though I have to be careful at times not to get overenthusiastic enough to ram my cervix.
The base is not very heavy, so it sometimes shifts while riding, but the base is easy to hold for thrusting.
The overall shape is fairly straight and tube-like, but there is a subtle swell that I definitely feel in use. It’s not strong enough to lock inside like a strong swell, but the bottom of the swell makes for a natural stopping point. Once it’s in that far, it’s very comfortable.
The head makes sensations more intense. I can tell that there’s front wall stimulation when the coronal ridge is faced that way, but I can’t feel the specific texture. It makes for a ride that’s gentle but not boring.
My favorite way to use Caelus is when I want to get off fast with external stimulation. It’s skinny-ish with a small base, so it doesn’t get in the way while I use an air pulse toy, and I don’t need any warmup beforehand.
I enjoy Caelus a lot more than I thought I would. I thought it’d be my least favorite, but it’s my second fave of the Elemental Line. It’s not always great at getting me off, but it’s pretty good at warming me up.
Tellus (Paladin Pleasure Sculptors)
Size: Medium (6.5″ usable length, 2.3×2.5″ diameter)
Firmness: Medium 00-50
Color: Cherry Blossoms (semitranslucent pink, semitranslucent blue, pale purple, light gold)
Features: Swell, balls, low texture
Price: $80

Tellus is one thick dildo. It’s very satisfyingly filling; I’m never left wanting more. I need to warm up to it first, otherwise the stretch at my entrance is uncomfortable, but once warmed up, it’s the perfect girth for me. The shaft slims down under the swell, letting it lock in very nicely without maintaining much of a stretch at my entrance.
The head is great for G-spot and A-spot stim and overall feels amazing against my front wall. Of the whole set, Tellus has the best and most prominent coronal ridge. Lying back, I rock it back and forth either fully inserted or halfway inserted, letting the head and its notable coronal ridge rub against those spots. I could literally go for hours. That’s one spot where the low texture comes in handy: Minimal irritation from longer sessions.
The heart-shaped balls are easy to hold. Unfortunately, my preferred way to use this toy is lying back in missionary, so the part I would hold onto is the opposite side. The small triangle on this side is very difficult to hold onto, especially when slick; I need to keep wiping it dry and squeeze it tightly between my thumb and fingers. It’s easier to use with a handle, but I would much prefer being able to hold the toy directly.
Despite the drawbacks of the base, I absolutely love Tellus.
Ignis (Paladin Pleasure Sculptors)
Size: Medium (6″ usable length, 2.2×2.5″ diameter)
Firmness: Medium 00-50
Color: Frost 2.0 (light blue, deep purple, purple shimmer)
Features: Strong curve, low texture
Price: $80
Availability: Inventory only

Ignis is big. Definitely bigger than it looks. Possibly the thickest of the Elemental set, in a way that the official specs don’t cover.
The curve makes Ignis excellent for G-spot/P-spot stimulation. As long as the tip is facing forwards, I get constant G-spot stimulation. I can angle it sharply to really hammer the G-spot, though that requires moving the base further back, which is awkward to hold. The G-spot stim is a great experience. It’s not firm or targeted/pinpoint, so not the same as you’d get with something like a metal or glass wand; it’s still very much like any other dildo with a nice curve. When I angle it like that, it sometimes stretches me out too far, since I’m essentially increasing the diameter by changing the angle.
Using it in a more standard way (by not increasing the angle) still gets plenty of G-spot stim, plus the stretch from taking it to the base is amazing.
Switching Ignis backwards so the tip faces the other way around is not comfortable due to the pressure on my anal wall.
I love Ignis for G-spot stim and a solid stretch. If I want to feel not just filled, but totally stretched out, Ignis is a winner. But I need to limit the ways I use it because of its size and intensity, and I have to be 100% warmed up before using it.
I almost always use Ignis by leaning back and thrusting, which allows me a lot of control over the angle. The round base is easy to hold.
I’m pleased with my medium and I enjoy the stretch, but I think I would have enjoyed the G-spot stim more if I went down a size.
Aquus (Paladin Pleasure Sculptors)
Size: Medium (6.5″ usable length, 2×2.5″ diameter)
Firmness: Medium 00-50
Color: Frost 2.0 (light blue, deep purple, purple shimmer)
Features: Swell, balls, low texture
Price: $80
Availability: Inventory only
See Also: Paladin Pleasure Sculptors Elemental Line Review
Aquus features a swell at the top and a thinner lower shaft. Once inside, the swell—which is a notable size, but not intense—sits snugly and comfortably. It fits right in the comfortable middle zone between “too subtle” and “too much.”
The swell takes a bit of a push to insert. If I pull out part of the swell, the rest of the toy tends to follow, so that push is required again to reinsert. One could possibly use a lot of lube to pop the swell in and out at a fast pace, but the stem isn’t thick enough to provide as much leverage as would be necessary to do that easily.
Due to the swell, it doesn’t work that well for fast movement, but it works well for gentle thrusting or riding along the last couple of inches.
The heart-shaped base is difficult to hold at the point, but it’s easy to hold the balls. Since the base is not very heavy, riding can make it shift if it’s not held down somehow, though this is negligible when just grinding along the lowest part of the shaft.
Aquus is nice to sit on while rubbing myself externally. Beyond that, though, I don’t get much out of it given the smooth texture, and I barely feel the head. It’s really nicely shaped for those who want a gentle grind, but unfortunately, it doesn’t quite appeal to my tastes.
Archer Uncut (Bad Dragon)
Size: Small (6″ usable length, 2″ diameter)
Firmness: Medium 00-50
Color: Pastel Vulpine (light blue, light pink, translucent light blue, translucent light pink)
Features: Gentle curve, foreskin, balls, low texture
Price: $85 ($135 for one like mine: +suction cup +Pastel Vulpine coloration) (Paid $68 due to flop discount)
Availability: Inventory or custom (send a support ticket if interested in Pastel Vulpine)
Archer from Bad Dragon is as straightforward a human dildo as you can find: Penis-shaped with a head, balls, foreskin, and veins. It’s wider one way than the other, giving it a slightly flattened or oval appearance.
The Pastel Vulpine coloration is one of my favorite colorways out there. While this would normally result in an upcharge, it had a nick in the side. Bad Dragon discounts flopped toys to 80% of base price and removes any upcharges, so thanks to the flop discount, I ended up getting the toy for half off. Whatever I may say about BD, their flop discount is great.
I really wanted this one to work out for me because the shape seems nice and the color is so pretty, but it falls flat. Even in medium firmness, I can’t feel the veins. The head and curve are underwhelming, leaving me with very inconsistent G-spot or A-spot stim. The oval shape doesn’t make it feel any better than a round dildo, and in fact makes it seem less interesting; if it were round, it would at least feel more filling, but I don’t even get that. If I go for anal, as I tend to try for my smaller and lower-texture toys, it’s okay, but doesn’t impress me.
The size and shape are so close to my small PPS Titan, which I love, but the experience is miles apart. Despite the similarities, Archer underperforms in every area.
Archer is one of the few dildos that disappoints me. Sometimes there are dildos that aren’t good fits for me, but every single detail let me down here. I don’t typically buy from Bad Dragon (see the bottom of this article for reasons why) unless there’s something I absolutely love, so I’m particularly sad about this let-down.
Jackalope (Fantasy Grove)
Size: Medium (6″ usable length, 2.5″ diameter)
Firmness: Medium 00-50
Color: Darker Souls (Gray, purple, white, shimmer highlight)
Features: Curve, balls, piercings, moderate texture
Price: $105 ($130 for a custom like mine: +3-color fade +highlight)
Availability: Inventory or custom (MTO) (send an email if interested in Darker Souls coloration)
Jackalope from Fantasy Grove is easy to use and easy to love. It’s represented by a handsome furry character and the design itself carries part of that personality. The big furry balls, piercings, and overall shape bring home the fantasy of an anthropomorphic furry who’s rock hard and ready to go. In this coloration—a three-color fade with a shimmery highlight—it’s stunning to look at in the light.
Girth-wise, Jackalope is thinner at the head and thicker at the base, making it an excellent dildo to warm up and stretch with. It’s extremely easy to take most of the toy even when not warmed up, despite the girth and length.
The head features prominent piercings. Oftentimes when a toy has a thinner head, I lose some of that sensation once it’s deep inside, but the piercings make up for that. The shaft’s texture is minimal, but I get some friction thanks to the satin/slightly glossy finish.
The strong curve near the top ensures the head always presses against my front wall, which is great for the texture, but it’s not very firm and the curve doesn’t extend across the entire shaft. As a result, I don’t get G-spot stim from this dildo like I do from others with a strong curve, and A-spot stimulation is surprisingly gentle.
The thickness near the base is very filling. I can get most of it in easily, and once I’ve worked up to it and gotten the final inch of the shaft in, it’s immensely satisfying. The fur at the bottom is like a delicious texture prize.
The thinner upper shaft and overall smoothness make Jackalope very easy to thrust or ride at a fast pace. The base is large and easy to hold, making it sit in place well for riding but weighty enough to make thrusting a workout. I don’t have a lot of dildos that are both easy to use at a fast pace and thick enough to be satisfying, so this one is fantastic.
Sasquatch (Happy Hole Toys)
Size: Medium (5.8″ usable length, 2.2″ diameter)
Firmness: Medium 00-50
Color: Purple, orange, pale gray
Features: Gentle curve, knot, balls, moderate texture
Price: $85
Availability: Inventory only
Sasquatch, sculpted by Venus and carried by Happy Hole Toys, features the best of both worlds: A beautifully proportioned human shaft with a knot.
The slightly tapered head enters easily. The ridge stands out without being too strong, offering solid sensation where it rubs against my front wall. The overall shaft texture is moderate and made up of large, chunky shapes, offering waves of texture as it slides along. It’s a very smooth experience as far as texture goes.
My favorite part is the fur clinging to the base of the shaft. If I curve the toy just a bit, pushing the top side of the base against myself externally while thrusting, I can grind against that fur. There are very few toys where I’m able to do this. I need external stimulation to get off, so having that as a built-in detail is fantastic, especially with the texture being great for grinding.
The knot is excellent when I’m not fully warmed up. There’s just enough of a stem beneath the knot to settle it in place, though the knot isn’t wide enough to truly lock. It’s very easy to take without stretching me out, offering a low-effort knotting experience. It’s easy to push the knot in and out at a high speed as well. Unfortunately, once I’m fully warmed up, I hardly feel the knot.
The underside of the shaft has a really nice curve. With the right angle, if the underside is against my front wall, I can get really solid pressure. It makes Sasquatch shine regardless of which way it’s turned.
Stardust (Kreature Toys)
Size: Medium (6.5″ usable length, 2.25″ diameter)
Firmness: Medium 00-50
Color: Blue purple shift, shimmer gold, deep violet
Features: Gentle curve, low texture
Price: $100 ($105 for a custom like mine: +3 color blend)
Availability: Inventory or custom
Stardust from Kreature Toys is a hybrid of human and equine, featuring a medial ring in the middle of the shaft. It’s one of my own designs, created to combine my favorite parts of both styles. In the blend-style pour that I received with purples and blues fading into each other with gold, it evokes stardust just like I had hoped.
In medium, it’s the right size for me: Not too skinny yet not completely filling. The top half is an easy size for me to take, while the bottom half expands, offering a really nice stretch at the base. The finish is mostly smooth with a little bit of drag.
The head enters with a smooth pop. It’s not as intense as a prominent coronal ridge like Adventurer has, but it’s definitely notable. It’s easily my favorite part of the design. While I can’t get constant A-spot or G-spot stimulation, I can angle it in a way that the head rubs against my front wall for mostly gentle pressure against my favorite spots.
The medial ring is subtle. I don’t get the pop that I love from rings, so it’s underwhelming.
The base is very easy to hold, with balls on one side and armor on the other. The wideness of the base makes it difficult to fit into storage bags, though.
While I’m happy with how this turned out visually, I didn’t hit the mark I was after when I designed the ring, leading to a much gentler ride than I had hoped.
Slipfin (Lycantasy)
Size: Medium (5.75″ usable length, 2.4″ diameter)
Firmness: Medium 00-50
Color: Blue, purple, black
Features: Curve, swell, low texture
Price: $95 ($120 for a custom like mine: +custom marble)
Availability: Inventory or semi-custom/MTO
Slipfin from Lycantasy is big where it counts, featuring one hell of a swell and a chunky head to boot. Gentle scales dot the bottom of the shaft, which emerges from the scaly slit of a space-exploring alien. The coloration features bold colors with metallic shimmer, the bright blue standing out against the darker colors.
This one pushes my limits in a really good way. I have to warm up for it and take it easy, but the stretch doesn’t hurt. The swell fills me up completely and presses the prominent head against my front wall in exactly the way I like. I’m very glad I went for the medium and also thankful I didn’t have to “size up” in order to use it. Sometimes I need to be filled, and Slipfin is up for the job.
The satin finish gives it a nice amount of drag even when lubricated, which I really enjoy. The scaly texture is just about unnoticeable in use; it’s shallow and overshadowed by the intensity of the swell. While I would have enjoyed more intense texture, especially at the base of the shaft, the finish makes up for it somewhat.
The swell makes this dildo great for sitting and grinding, especially alongside external play, but it also works for shallow thrusts. Thrusting all the way in and out is too much for me given the stretch, but quick, short thrusts along the lower half are amazing.
The head offers a strong pop and a good spot of internal texture, though I find that it’s overshadowed by the swell, which is the main focus in use.
As far as fantasies go, I love a scaly fantasy creature with a slit (I mean, just look at dragons!), so this ticks my boxes there as well as in use.
MERCIO (Magic Within)
Size: Large (6.5″ usable length, 2″ diameter)
Firmness: Medium 00-50
Color: Pale skin, white, black, light blue
Features: Gentle curve, high texture
Price: $108 ($254 for a custom like mine)
Availability: Inventory, semi-custom/MTO, or limited full customs (submit form on site for full customs)
MERCIO from Magic Within is a highly textured, half-armored human dildo with crisp details that make it come to life. It almost looks like a real cock, especially with the custom handpainted details on mine.
Few shops offer fully guided customs, and fewer still offer handpainting, which involves painting silicone in specific parts inside of the mold. It takes a lot of time and skill to do that with silicone, which needs to be done with certain methods and in a short timeframe in order to make sure the end result doesn’t peel away from the rest of the toy. I was really excited that Magic Within offered handpainting for this model, and knowing the time and skill that go into it, I had no problem paying the fee. The end result is gorgeous and almost exactly as I imagined.
It isn’t perfect—there are some spots that aren’t completely filled in, for example—but given the nature of silicone, most customs (from any shop) will be imperfect.
In use, the texture is strong. The ridges are intense and bumpy, reminding me of the steps on a ladder. I really enjoy it against my front wall: All friction, all texture, all the time. A slightly smoother texture might be more enjoyable, but it’s definitely very good as-is. Turned around, the texture irritates the other side, where I don’t enjoy strong texture as much.
The curve is okay. The textured underside doesn’t put much pressure on my front wall, so I don’t get much of the constant G-spot stimulation from that side. Turned around, the head is not curved enough to hit my G-spot or A-spot very well. It ends up whacking the cervix straight on instead, which isn’t necessarily bad, but isn’t my favorite.
It doesn’t tick all my boxes, but it’s a decent dildo and I thoroughly enjoy it. The customization was well worth the cost and Magic Within was wonderful to work with the whole time.

Merfolk was my first custom toy. It holds a special place in my collection, especially since Pleasure Forge no longer offers customs. I ordered it when it was first released back in 2017; my lust for fish-men was so great I could not wait for the medium and sprang for the large.
Despite pushing my comfortable size limits, Merfolk isn’t a struggle to use as long as I’m warmed up. The shaft itself is very comfortable, but the head is a challenge; it’s like a gentle knot, offering a huge stretch and a “pop” on entry/exit, with none of the locking discomfort from knots.
The head and curve are really where it’s at. The underside of the curve is just the way I like it, offering constant low-intensity pressure against my front wall. Turned the other way (missionary style), the head presses against all my favorite spots, offering delicious G-spot stimulation and a constant good feeling.
Aside from the shape of the head, the texture is minimal; I can’t actively feel it in use. The almost matte finish combined with the gentle texture along the shaft both increase the friction and seem to intensity the experience, even if I can’t identify the textures directly.
There isn’t a strongly defined base, and the base that is there is difficult to hold and thrust. I have an easier time using this dildo with a handle or riding it instead of thrusting with my hands.
Batou (Strange Bedfellas)
Size: Medium (5″ usable length, 2″ diameter)
Firmness: Medium 00-50
Color: White, black, pink shimmer, blue shimmer
Features: Gentle swell, foreskin, balls, low texture, spikes
Price: $65
Availability: Inventory or semi-custom/Friend Requests
Batou is one of Strange Bedfellas’ many friends, a frisky demon who’s on the lookout for good food and good fun. It features a swell, moderate texture, and hefty balls. The coloration I received has marvelous blue and purple shimmer against shimmering white and black, similar to their classic Void Opal coloration.
Batou’s girth is easily within my comfort zone, making it very easy to take the swell. It’s a mild swell, not nearly as strong as Slipfin’s; it doesn’t give me the discomfort of a large stretch, but still provides a stretching feeling when pushing in and out, making it more dynamic than a more tube-shaped dildo. The underside is great against my front wall, offering a feeling similar to the underside of a nicely curved toy.
The length is shorter than I prefer, but that makes it good for hard thrusting, since it won’t whack my cervix. I initially thought Batou would be great for a moderately fast ride, but hard thrusting is my fave way to play.
The texture on the head is fantastic. For one, the two horns peeking out of the foreskin are adorable. The folds are the most strongly textured part of Batou. Right inside my entrance, which is my most sensitive spot, it offers just the right amount of texture. Deeper in, I can still feel it somewhat. Externally, it’s fantastic for frotting no matter which side I want to rub against.
I do not feel the veins along the sides of the shaft. The texture at the base of the shaft looks like it would feel great, but I am not able to insert that part since it’s flush against the base rather than part of the shaft. I’m a little sad about that, since it would have been perfect to grind against while hilting Batou.
The spikes along the base are not pokey at all. I feel them a little bit in use, but it’s negligible and they don’t feel sharp or painful, even in medium firmness. I can get some interesting use out of them by rotating the dildo while it’s hilted; the spikes rub across my clit, offering some solid stimulation.
Batou features a nice swell, but the texture on the head is what stands out to me, both in use and in its appearance.
Nile (Weredog)
Size: Medium (5.9″ usable length, 2.25″ diameter)
Firmness: Soft 00-30
Color: Amethyst (white, pastel purple)
Features: Foreskin, balls, low texture
Price: $101
Availability: Inventory or custom
Nile from Weredog is a chunky design that’s thick and filling, represented by an anthro crocodile DILF with a fondness for fishing. The coloration I got as part of my order, a color marble called Amethyst, makes the most of two colors and the ways they can blend together. Nile has a more realistic standard color available, offering a green shaft with pink tip poking out.
I planned to go for medium firmness, but Weredog’s site recommends supersoft, so I settled in the middle with soft. I can’t feel the texture, which is disappointing because it looks so nice. While the texture looks strong and well defined on the model itself, in hand it feels shallower than it looks, so I’m not sure even a firmer silicone would make much different in terms of that.
In soft, it fills me up nicely without pushing into a uncomfortable stretch, and the soft firmness feels a little more realistic or flesh-like than medium would have.
The low texture and the way this toy is balanced make it work very well with all my handles. This is great since the top side of the toy has nowhere to grip, making it difficult to hold from that side.
The coronal ridge is nice. I can feel it at any point internally, providing mild pressure that is neither strong nor too gentle to feel.
With the dildo turned around so the underside is against my front wall, the shape feels slightly different and it feels like it settles into place a little more easily when hilted. The balls are easy to hold, and it’s fun to have them smack against my clit from that angle.
My overall takeaway on Nile is that it’s comfortable. I get the feeling of fullness without the discomfort of being stretched. The matte finish and low texture give it some nice friction without the intensity of strong texture. The head is noticeable without hitting hard. I can comfortably use it without warmup despite the girth being on the thicker end.
It’s hard to pick favorites, but there are some that I reach for more than others. Almost all of these dildos are fantastic and worth it in their own ways, with different features that are subject to individual taste.
Here’s my take on which ones have the best curves and best heads, with a rating out of 5 stars for my personal favorites. A low-star rating isn’t necessarily bad—I enjoy using all of these!—but the 1-3 stars are less likely to find their way into my nightstand.

Low Texture, Great Shape
Tellus and Titan are king. For as much as I love moderate-to-high texture dildos, these two easily count among the favorites in my entire collection. Paladin Pleasure Sculptors has always stood out to me as a shape-forward brand, and they continue to excel in offering shapes that just work.
Slipfin’s extraordinary swell, Caelus‘ subtle swell and notable head, and Nile’s filling shape all press my buttons in the right way. They’re pretty damn good, with only the smallest details that don’t perfectly suit my tastes.
Texture Choice
My top texture pick is Adventurer. All texture, all the time, for lots of friction. It’s been smoothed out a bit with the remake, which I think is a great choice, and I think I’d really enjoy the new medium.
My second pick would be Sasquatch. The chunky texture is a completely different style than Adventurer, making for a smooth yet interesting ride, with intense texture at the base that’s perfect for grinding.
Nice and Easy
Caelus, Nile, and Hero are toys I can pick up anytime. Not warmed up? Too sensitive? Need a break from texture? These dildos are here for me.
Best Value
Batou, Titan, and the Elemental Line (Aquus, Caelus, Ignis, and Tellus) are all excellent choices at good prices. SBF always has great low prices, PPS offers competitive pricing for hefty toys, and both send out coupon codes with their pre-drop email newsletters (which you can sign up for on their sites). With prices for medium toys easily going up to $90 or $100+ in some cases, SBF’s Batou at $65 is a steal and PPS’ Elemental Line at $80 each keeps things competitive.
Recommendations for Beginners
If you don’t know where to start with dildos in general or with dildos in this shape, I would recommend Titan, Caelus, Jackalope, Merfolk, and Batou. They all feature low texture and effective shapes that should work well for a lot of people, with small sizes that are less intimidating than the mediums and larges that I own.
Sizing
Every single one of these models is available in multiple sizes, scaling both length and girth with each size. Most of the dildos I’ve reviewed here are easily within my preferred specs, which is medium-size toys (usually around 2″ diameter) in medium firmness 00-50. If you are new to fantasy toys or prefer smaller toys, I would recommend going with a small or mini of a given model, since mediums tend to be larger than mainstream dildos and many people prefer smalls.
