Wisdom from Ecclesiastes: Anger is a fool’s game

I just finished reading the book of Ecclesiastes, and one verse caught my attention:

Don’t be quick to anger, for anger is in the heart of fools. ~ Ecclesiastes 7:9

Over the past few decades, many scientific studies have shown that anger is bad for us. It harms our bodies, our minds, and of course our relationships. But God, the One who created us, knew this from the beginning and tried to warn us.

Many men, probably most men, are more angry than they should be. We make excuses for it, justify it, swallow it, deny it. But when we calm down, we know it’s not right or good.

Do you need to control your anger?
