Sex Addiction is Not a Symptom of Bipolar Disorder, ADHD,

Addictions are not defined by behaviors; they’re defined by what those behaviors do to your life.
Before a sex or porn addiction diagnosis can accurately be made, professionals must first consider any number of major mental health disorders that sometimes include compulsive or impulsive sexual behavior as a symptom. Some of these include the manic stage of bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). This means that not every compulsively sexual person is sexually addicted; hypersexual behaviors are legitimate symptoms of many other disorders. That said, it is certainly possible to have one or more of the aforementioned psychiatric conditions and to also be sexually addicted.
Task for Today
