Review: njoy Disco Beaded Dildo

Design

The njoy Disco has an incredibly unique design. I don’t think I’ve seen a dildo quite like it before. It takes “textured” to a whole new level.

What makes the njoy Disco unique is its alternating, perpendicular bumps. Each “tier” of bumps is rotated 90° from the previous one. When you’re twisting this inside of you, it’s a sensory explosion of a myriad of twists and bumps and ridges. Wow.

Each tier, starting from the tip, is gradually wider than the last. I’ve nerded out and used some callipers to measure the tiers:

• Tier 1 (tip): 3cm wide x 1.4cm tall x 3cm long
• Tier 2: 3.4cm wide x 1.8cm tall x 3.3cm long
• Tier 3: 3.9cm wide x 2.1cm tall x 3.5 cm long
• Tier 4: 4.4cm wide x 2.3cm tall x  x 4.2 cm long
• Tier 5: 4.9cm wide x 2.5cm tall x 4.9 cm long

Overall, it’s about 8″ long with 6″ of insertable length.

Its solid stainless steel body also makes this a glossy, weighty hunk of pleasure. This is not for someone with frail wrists: it weighs over 1.4 kg (3.2 lbs), making it heavier than most dildos on the market.

Like all of njoy’s products, it has been polished to a mirror shine.

How to Use the njoy Disco

The njoy Disco is safe for vaginal and anal use.

To use the njoy Disco, I suggest liberally applying your favourite lubricant to the shaft. I usually have some Sliquid H2O on hand, but you could also use hybrid or silicone lubricants with this toy.

Holding the loop handle, insert the shaft. I suggest going slowly the first time because you never know how large a toy is going to feel in practice. You can thrust with this dildo, but it also really shines with a twisting movement (see My Experience below).

When finished, wash and dry your Disco before storage.

A note on temperature: the njoy Disco is COLD to the touch if your house is cool, thanks to its stainless steel body. To warm it up, I recommend soaking it in a bowl of warm water for a few minutes before use.

Packaging

The njoy Disco is packaged beautifully. The other sleeve is njoy’s typical glossy white cardboard. It’s discreet and minimalistic.

When you slide off the white sleeve, there’s a gorgeous hard black box with silver lettering. This box flips open to reveal a silver storage case — it reminds me of a silver clutch for a night out.

All in all, you receive the Disco, its silver storage case, and a booklet of instructions.

Material and Care

The njoy Disco is cast in 316 grade stainless steel, making it a medical grade. It’s non-porous and can be cleaned and sterilized easily. To clean, you can rinse with warm, soapy water, or place it in the dishwasher. If you’d like to sterilize it, you can boil it for 10 minutes or use a 10% bleach solution (and rinse thoroughly afterwards). Just don’t use anything abrasive to clean it like steel wool.

Note that this material is cold to the touch at first, but will heat up quickly. Metal conducts heat, so rinsing it under warm water will crank up its own heat pretty quickly.

This material can be used with any kind of lubricant. I’m really partial to Sliquid’s lubes… like this water-based one, or silicone one, or hybrid one.

My Experience with the njoy Disco

When I first got my njoy Disco, I honestly had NO idea how this would feel inside me. It looks a bit like a beaded anal dildo (which I’ve never bought because I don’t use toys anally) so I was quite naive going into this.

During my first test session, I tried thrusting this like a conventional dildo. It’s doable and pleasurable, but I quickly found that this toy doesn’t even really need big thrusts. When it’s fully inserted, it needs just the slightest bit of clenching to press into my walls. It’s so filling and hard that it doesn’t take much to send me over the edge.

If I need something even more intense, a small twisting movement provides an explosion of pleasure to my senses. With twisting, my A-spot and G-spot can receive a myriad of twisty, alternating hard presses.

I didn’t think the njoy Disco could be as good as the njoy Pure Wand (reviewed here). But it is equally amazing, just in a different way. The Pure Wand is a thrusting, G-spot dream. But the njoy Disco is equally as pleasurable, in a twisty, clenchy way.

Wow.

Should anyone NOT get the njoy Disco?

• If you can’t work with a heavy object — at over 1.4 kg, the njoy Disco requires some strength in your wrists.
• If you don’t like firm sensations.
• If you mainly want a thrusting G-spot dildo like the njoy Pure Wand.

njoy Disco Review – Overall Thoughts

The njoy Disco provides an explosion of senses with its twisty, bumpy body. I found that it doesn’t even need to be thrusted for intense sensation: just clenched or gently twisted. For texture fanatics out there, this is definitely one to add to your wishlist.
