My Fucsia – Test and Review of the Porcelain Alien Sex Toy

Ceramics are rarely used as a material for sex toys. So when I came across an Italian company — My purple – specializes in these products, and I was immediately drawn in. I contacted them hoping they would provide a free sample in exchange for an honest review.

Here are my findings…

Basically, they make fun, quirky sex toys to combat the social stigma surrounding adult products.

Packaging and contents

My Special Toy (aptly named vulva) in a discreet cardboard outer shipping box. Inside, the toy is in its packaging, rolled in a layer of bubble wrap and resting on two inflatable shipping pillows – very safe.

I like this packaging design very much. The fuchsia color scheme aptly reflects the company’s branding. The printing and imagery are simple and clean. The tube is also another form of protection as there is sturdy custom foam at the bottom and top to wrap around the dildo.

Inside there is the toy and a small instruction manual. The instruction manual is the first constructive criticism I have. Some of the Italian to English translations are not very good. Some words and sentences need to be polished by a fluent speaker.

I love the variety of options they have in their store. My favorite is the blue and red tea time dildo (There is also gold, of course), But the alien’s bumps look more interestingI sent the website link to my coworker and she fell in love with the subs – saying, “The yellow ones look like something edible. These designs are thin decals fired into the porcelain (Not just glued on). The outer edges of the decals are very thin (I had to look very closely). If you run your fingers over them you can feel a difference between the design and the toy, but it’s subtle… and you won’t feel any difference while using it. It’s also impossible to fall off.

The handle is easy to grab when using it, but for the sake of my wrist, I have to hold it like this…

notes: If you need G-spot stimulation, this isn’t the toy for you. But if you angle it upwards, you might be able to aim it a little.

Using My FUCSIA

Temperature Effect

Here are my preliminary/rough temperature tests (based on touch and pushing the tap to the hottest/coldest settings).

• Use very warm tap water – Leaving it for 1 minute will give the porcelain a slightly warmer feel than leaving it for 5 minutes, but both will cool down in about 10 minutes.
• Use very cold tap water – The difference between 1 minute and 5 minutes does not make a huge difference in temperature. The chill wears off quickly, but the cool sensation lasts much longer than the hot test (remember, this material is inherently cool).
• If you want to play cold, I recommend Ice water to get better results.
• My Fucsia says you can use it for 15-20 minutes. So if you use Very hot/ice water, I think these numbers are accurate.

I prefer the warm feeling. It is also more comfortable when inserted.

Ergonomics and Feel

As for the curves and texture, I could feel the ridges on the tip when inserted – a very interesting but pleasurable sensation. Using it is just like any other solid dildo, but the texture is a big plus. It does a pretty decent job.

The handle is easy to grip, just Because there is no lubrication on it. Any lube that got on made it slippery, and I had to wipe it off once during play. That’s normal for a slippery toy, though.

notes: For anyone hoping for a G-spot bump, I’m guessing the nature of the material makes it harder to form a super-curved toy that’s as sturdy as a straight toy (the stress of bending the neck increases pressure and may eventually cause breakage).

We don’t have numbers to compare to 100% silicone toys because there are so many different types of silicone polymers and it would be too expensive to test them all.

• As you can see, this thing has more baking than my grandma’s “oops” cookies. That’s why there’s no way the decals are going to come off. It also makes it even clearer that this toy is a body-safe option.
