Review: Solina Mega Ultra Realistic Dual Density Dildo

I’m no stranger to realistic dildos. I’ve hunted down and collected thousands of dollars’ worth of realistic dildos – each one a work of art. And typically, the more realistic the dildo, the more expensive it is. Until now.

The Solina Mega Ultra-Realistic Dildo is incredibly lifelike. It has dual density (so it feels extra nice to squeeze!) and a silicone construction that is coated with a permanent, harmless silicone paint that gives it a lifelike color.

It comes in a variety of sizes. Pictured are the Large ($39), XL ($59), and XXL ($69).

The gap from Large to XXL is quite large. Here are the sizes for each:

• Large: 1.5″ diameter; 6.75″ inserted length; 7.4″ overall height
• XL: 1.77″ diameter; 7.6″ insertable length; 8.5″ overall height.
• XXL: 2 inches in diameter; 8.2 inches in insertable length; 9.4 inches in overall height (wow).

I was blown away by how realistic these dildos are. The shaft is a dark pink. The veins on the shaft are blue, and the rest is skin-colored. The shaft gets darker as the head of the penis moves. The head itself is a soft pink, with another darker pink around the coronal ridge.

While the shading of the three versions is generally similar, the molds used to cast these dildos are different. The location of the veins, the way the skin folds meet at the frenulum, and the depth of the urethral opening are slightly different. The corpora cavernosa (the lines running along the underside) are most visible in the large version and least visible in the XXL.

The Solina dildo is dual density. This means there’s a firm inner silicone rod in the middle (giving it an upright structure), and then a softer outer layer wrapping around it (giving it a nice squishy feel). Even though it’s upright by default, the inner core still has enough flex to bend comfortably when pushed against something.

Honestly, these are beautiful pieces.

How to use the Solina Mega Ultra Realistic Dildo

1. Apply some lubricant to the head and shaft.
2. Hold the base with your hands and use the suction cup to attach it to a flat surface, or place it into the O-ring harness.
3. Insert into vagina or anus and enjoy!

Package

The Solina Mega Ultra-Realistic Dildo comes in a simple black and turquoise box. While the package from Peepshow Toys was discreet, the dildo packaging itself is quite understated. With a proud and generous picture on the front, the contents are clearly visible!

Inside the box, the Solina Mega dildo is wrapped in a simple disposable plastic bag. There is nothing else.

Material and Care

The Solina Mega Ultra-Realistic Dildo is made of silicone. This makes it body-safe (non-porous, non-toxic, phthalate-free, etc.). This special silicone coating is a bit sticky to the touch and will attract some lint/dust, so it needs to be cleaned before use.

To clean it, Solina recommends washing it with water and hand soap before and after each use.

If you want to add some lube (highly recommended), the brand recommends using a water-based, plant-based, or hybrid lube. I personally like a simple water-based lube like Sliquid H2O. Whatever you do, avoid using pure silicone lubes; they can bond with the silicone in the toy and damage the finish.

My experience with the Solina Mega Ultra-Realistic Dildo

I’ve been reviewing sex toys for almost a decade now (!), since 2015. I remember in the early days, realistic dual-density dildos were the holy grail of dildos (at least for me), but they were usually expensive and you had to save up to get one. I remember lusting after dual-density products, and they were all priced at $120+. I never thought a nice dual-density dildo would be so affordable.

But I need to stop whispering about how beautiful they are and talking about how Feel.

In my hands, the Solina Mega Ultra-Realistic Dildo feels great. When I hold them, my fingers squeeze the softer outer layer and find the hard core. This tricks my brain into thinking I’m holding a real penis.

My brain was tricked again when it came to vaginas. When they were warmed up to body temperature and lubricated, they felt as realistic as a dildo.

The Large is the smallest available size, but is still narrow enough to slide in smoothly and quickly for quick and easy insertion. The XL version has a slightly blunter head and requires a little more warming up, but feels very full once inserted.

I was disappointed that the XXL version is a bit too big for me right now and I can’t get it under control whenever I try (I’m breastfeeding which makes me less able to stretch so my capacity for the larger size is sadly limited). Even if I wasn’t breastfeeding it’s a huge dildo and I think some people would need to think twice before trying it – 2 inches in diameter might not sound like much but it’s 6.5 inches in circumference which is huge.

I love the Large and XL Solina dildos when I use them, though. They don’t target the G-spot very well because the shafts are so straight, but they still get deep and satisfy me. I think my favorite is the XL – it’s just a perfect dildo in terms of how it looks and how it actually works. When paired with a good clitoral vibrator like the Tango or UltraBullet, I’m in heaven.

What can I complain about? Except that they don’t have more shades (yet). They only come in this pinky-brown skin tone, which is pretty, but frustrating for anyone interested in a different skin tone. I’d like to see them come in more shades, and I’m hoping that’s what Solina has in store for future releases.
