Je Joue Dua Review – Not much better than a door stop

Je Joue Dua Review - Not much better than a door stop

Well, here I go again – ripping off toy reviews.

Je Joue Dua appeared in my sight again. (I looked at this toy briefly In another review, but it’s more of a brief blurb than a thorough teardown under the microscope.)

are you ready?

Reasons to buy

It was going to be a fun night and I wanted to give my boyfriend an extra surprise. I walked into the local sex shop to buy a wearable remote control toy.

Side note: The problem with living in China and having a huge passion for sex toys is that they are either cheap/affordable but crappy (or even dangerous) or overpriced and offensive. The thing is, if you want something safe, you have to go with the expensive ones.

So, I frowned and handed over my bank card (after she insisted that I take it) everything I was able to test it right out of the box. The thing looked cool. The thing vibrated. She gave me spare batteries. It was awesome!

I also confirmed the one year warranty.

Really? Yes. Very good.

I skipped home, my head full of all kinds of naughty thoughts.

What’s the outcome? We will get there. But first…

Package

Okay. I have to talk. something Positive in a way, and the packaging is all I can think of.

I think one of the reasons people buy Je Joue is because Looks legitimateThe packaging is sturdy, with an outer presentation box and an inner box for the gadget to be placed in. The inner box is pressed cardboard, covered with some kind of black textured layer. This is worth mentioning because the foam inserts in most toys leave a fine fuzz on the silicone.

However, what we ended up with was a plastic mold that looked cheap.

I would rate the packaging around 8/10.

Nothing special. Just a simple magnet charger. Not bad.

Charging time is what you’d expect from these toys (a few hours).

If anything goes wrong (charging light not coming on) I just shake it or flip it over. I did find the magnets to be a little weak though.

Material

It passed the burn test. Didn’t melt, but left a little black scorch mark. I’m fairly confident it’s silicone.

The silicone has some resistance, but considering it’s a wearable, that’s fine.

Mobile App

When I bought it, there was no app support for anything other than iOS – having worked for a sex toy company, I know this is bullshit. I did go into the Google Play store and saw that there is now an app available.

However,

Damn. So many people are angry and they are the only ones who bothered to leave a comment.

I wonder how many more people are living in Crash City.

my experience

Well, if you’ve been waiting to see a train wreck, now is the time.

Putting the toys in is an experience in itselfThe light bulb is quite big And it takes a lot of lube to get in. This doesn’t worry me because they advertise the toy as being wearable in public, so the larger end and smaller neck is a good design.

I put it in and surprised my man with the remote (I tested it once more before putting it in – Vibration is “okay” at best in case you were wondering).

Now, for some reason the pen remote is having issues, I thought it was just him getting used to the controls.

No.

Turning it into one was a challenge. Changing levels is a hassle – and this is all done by reading the instructions and following them step by step.

Is it on? Yes. New batteries. Yes.

There still seemed to be some sort of functionality – although it was a bit wonky – so we decided to go out for dinner… and that’s when things started to go wrong.

  • Things started to get uncomfortable, even unsteady.
  • I have to sit in a chair and not move to put things in
  • Despite my many presses and twists, the remote stopped working completely.
  • I eventually had to take it out

Once we got it home, we plugged it in to make sure it was safe and then went through the whole pen remote process again.

No. dead.

It gets worse…

I took it back with my receipt and asked for a refund, or at least store credit or something covered under warranty.

No.

“oh, terribly sorrythe toy has a 1 year warranty. However, the pen remote is battery powered, so it only has a 2 week refund policy.”

are you serious?!

I was two days past the return date and the salesperson didn’t care. Not to mention this is China and the logistics and service of getting it repaired through Je Joue is a nightmare.

That’s $100 down the drain.

judgment

Je Joue Dua So far, One of the worst sex toys I’ve ever boughtMy experience was so bad that I refuse to buy their other most proud products. First of all, they won’t get a penny of my hard earned money. Second, if this is the quality of one of their most expensive toys, I can’t imagine what the others will be like.

It is more suitable for use as a door stop.

Will I review more JE JOUE products?

Maybe. I’m genuinely (and morbidly) curious if their other toys are just as disappointing. But would I spend my money on them?

Of course not. It’s either a free sample or nothing.

And I highly doubt they’ll be throwing one at me anytime soon.
