Is it possible for a butt plug to slip inside?

Hello, I have a metal and 2 soft silicone butt plugs. The metal one has a round base, and the diameter of the base is about the same as the plug (about 3 cm). Does the plug slide in when sitting? I feel like that might be the case sometimes, but I’m not sure if it’s just my imagination. Can I add a small rope so I can pull it out in an emergency? There are also 2 soft silicone plugs. The silicone is very soft, softer than the anchor plug I have, and I was concerned that the base flap might fold over and allow it to slide inside. Almost the same problem.
