To get your hair healthy in the right direction, Cavalcante recommends buying a wooden or boar brush. “They will emit natural oils from the scalp,” he shared. “This will keep your hair naturally conditioned and reduce the chance of breaking.”

3. Use a small amount of calories

Heating tools are very likely in your styling lineup, but they don’t provide you with any help to promote hair health and prevent damage. Therefore, Cavalcante recommends paying attention to the following tips to apply heat to your hair:

  • Always use protective spray
  • Heat the tool to 365 degrees Fahrenheit or less to avoid burning hair
  • Limit once or twice a week

“If you find yourself constantly struggling with the volume or texture of your hair with flat iron, consider a smoothing treatment like keratin instead of frying every day,” he shared. “It’s a healthier option in the long run.” Air drying anytime, anywhere and using a cooler setup on your hair dryer will also help.

4. A hair habit that tends to be sun-safe

The irritating UV rays will not only damage your skin. Cavalcante said they also wreaked havoc by drying their hair, fading colors and potentially burning their scalp. That said, he recommends using an UV filter if you spend your time outdoors. He also gave the green light to the hat for physical protection.

5. Let your hair loose

Tie your hair back every day? This may be convenient and low-key, but it can also stress your chain. “A super tight ponytail or smooth bread every day can cause hairline rupture or even traction hair loss,” Cavalcante warns. Make sure to let your hair go frequently, use accessories that won’t cause rupture, and avoid anything that’s too tight or tight.

6. Eat better healthier hair

“Foods with antioxidants, such as strawberries and dates, can also protect hair and scalp from UV damage, oxidative pressure and free radical damage to prevent rupture,” she added.

7. Supplementary boost results

In terms of vitamins and supplements, Dr. Green added that biotin and B vitamins can help support overall hair health and growth. “Hair growth depends on vitamins and minerals, and the lack of these nutrients can greatly hinder hair growth,” she explained.

Consider taking supplements like buzz hair every day. It contains biotin, folic acid (vitamin B9) and vitamin B12, as well as zinc, FO-TI and PABA. These help support hair growth, plumping, strength and even color.

8. Don’t slip away on your hair care at night
