For Gen Z and Millennials, sex is about achieving home ownership.
Gen Z would gladly give up sex if it meant achieving this huge life goal.
Overall, more than a quarter of Brits would give up sex for a year just to have enough money for a deposit on a house.
In order to afford a house, Generation Z is more willing to remain single.
This conclusion was reached according to audio porn platform Bloom Stories, which surveyed more than 2,000 British adults to find out what people are willing to give up sex for, Metro UK reports.
Half of adults in this era are willing to give up sex if they can eventually afford a house.
A survey conducted by Clever Real Estate revealed that the majority of Gen Z adults (60%) are concerned that they may never own their own home.
But home ownership isn’t the only thing Gen Z is willing to trade sex for.
About a third of Gen Z would stop having sex to get a pay rise, while more than a quarter would abstain from sex to get a promotion.
Previous reports have shown that Generation Z is less interested in sex and more financially unstable than older generations.
But millennials are more interested in maintaining celibacy to gain upward mobility.
Only about 32% of adults aged 35 to 44 would choose maintaining their sex life over a mortgage, a pay raise or a promotion.
Older adults say they are more interested in continuing an active sex life than in advancing financially or in their careers.
Just under half of those aged 45 and over would choose sex over home ownership.
When looking at adults of all ages, there are differences based on gender.
Men are more likely to refuse to give up sex, with 45% saying they would not be able to stop having sex for a year, for whatever reason, while only 23% of women agreed.
