Doxy Die Cast faulty, or normal behaviour?

Just bought a Doxy Die Cast. If I put it in lowest setting, lay it on my bed and squeeze the head with my hand, the handle starts vibrating, and the whole thing slows down. This makes the lowest setting unusable.
Does it to the same for others?
