Christian Sex Counseling: Getting Help for Sexual Issues

A few days ago I suggested that you seek help with your marriage if you need it. Today, I want to give you the same advice about your sex life.

Lori and I needed some help with this when we were newlyweds. But we couldn’t find anyone with a Christian worldview to offer such help. Today, this is no longer the case.

If you are looking for sexual help, you want someone who is well trained. They must be able to help solve things they have never faced themselves. It’s best to go as a couple, and if you can find a couple who are willing to work with you, that’s ideal.

Seeking help isn’t just about mismatched sexual desires or things one spouse wishes the other wouldn’t do. Maybe there’s something you’ve never figured out; sex isn’t as intuitive as we think. Or maybe, some life or body changes have disrupted the way you’ve been having sex, and you need to talk things over and get some advice on how to fix it. Or maybe the sex is great but boring and you want some new ways to enjoy each other.

Lori and I do sex coaching through Aldrich Ministries. We will work men to men, women to women, couples to couples as needed. Tutoring for most of what I’ve described is a matter of several sessions, perhaps weeks or months apart. If the problem is something from your past, it helps that Aldrich has someone who can do the story work. Online tutoring means you’ll never meet these people in real life, which is nice.

Don’t suffer, seek help!
