Your Sexual Sobriety Plan: Consideration for Others

Sex and porn addicts don’t recover in a vacuum.
If we’re creating our sexual sobriety plan while single, we should do so knowing that we may feel a need to revise our plan (or at least to explain our plan) if and when we start dating—especially if the relationship seems serious. If we are already in a relationship when we create our sexual sobriety plan, we must consider how our new sexual and romantic boundaries might affect our partner. Usually, simply explaining the reasoning behind our new limitations tends to soften the impact.
Task for Today
Think about the ways in which your new sexual boundaries might affect another person.
