Woman goes on 1,000 dates in 8 years, gets rid of man through automation

Her date pool is full.

Despite going on 1,000 dates, Suzan Mutesi has been without a stable relationship for eight years and has rejected failed suitors via automated emails.

“I basically spend most of my free time on these apps,” the 38-year-old actress and author told PA Real Life. “I want a fairy tale ending, I want to meet the person and get married.”

The serial dater, who splits her time between Sydney, Australia, and London, England, said that during her peak dating years in her early 30s, she averaged at least three dates a week. Today, that number is closer to one romantic outing per week.

Mutesi said she often went out just because “she didn’t feel like cooking,” adding that she courted future lovers on Bumble and Hinge.

When she’s not actively dating, the Ugandan-Australian influencer is gearing up for a date or reflecting on past affairs.

For Mutsi, dating is a “full-time job.”

“If I’m not on a date, using an app, snapping some new photos to update my profile, or watching a romantic comedy, then I’m most likely going out with my friends — and the conversation will be about our latest date, ” explained Mutesi. “If I’m at the gym, I work out to a playlist of my favorite love songs.”

The soulmate also insists on looking her best every time she steps out, ditching “comfort pants” and other grungy attire in favor of makeup and trendy fashions, which she hopes will help find her ideal partner.

She was reportedly inspired to dive into the dating pool after a series of failed relationships, including one she dated a man in his thirties while in college.

Although he was “very chivalrous” – even giving Mutesi an allowance and giving her a private car so she didn’t have to take public transport – the pair split after four years to focus on their careers.

A few years later, at the age of 27, Mutesi started dating other people, but they broke up after three years because she knew “they weren’t meant to be like this.”

“I know the love is out there, but I’m not going to sit at home in my pajamas and get it – I have to go out there and get it,” the heartbroken girl declared.

Alas, finding a long-term boyfriend is no easy task. Mutesi’s longest relationship since she began her love-seeking pilgrimage lasted three months.

In fact, faced with so many rejected boyfriends, Mutesi decided to speed up the breakup process by automatically dumping emails.

It read, “Hey, thank you so much for a great time, I just wanted to let you know it didn’t work out but it was great meeting you,” the actress said.

“I never like to waste time,” declares Mutesi, who understandably has had her share of dating hell.

She recalled a romantic picnic in Hyde Park that went south after the suitor tried to chase the duck away from the food and ended up in the water.

“It was hilarious; I just couldn’t stop laughing…but then he couldn’t get out, so I had to go in and help him,” she recalled. “I was angry – it ruined my designer clothes. I didn’t see him again.”

Another Mr Wrong tried to cook Mutesi dinner on a date in 2023, but his move backfired when he lit a frying pan on fire, leaving his future girlfriend “disapproved”.

“He actually gave me carbs when I was going to stay too,” added Mutesi, who regularly uploads glamor photos for her 1.2 million Instagram followers.

In perhaps the worst outing of 2021 so far, the twat allegedly tried to bring another woman along in the hope of scoring a threesome.

The disappointing batting average has not discouraged Mutesi, who insists she has not “given up on finding love”.

“I put as much effort into my dating life as I do into my career, and I think once you put in the effort, you get the results,” she said.

Mutesi even chronicled her journey in the book Love in Your 30s, hoping her love journey will inspire women over 30 to find the man of their dreams.
