The Netherlands won the first Bernnini History Blog

The 17th -century sculptor Gianlorenzo Bernini obtained a permanent loan from Rijksmuseum’s permanent loan from private collectors. This is the only sculpture of the Italian Baroque master in the Netherlands. The sculpture is 28 inches high and is made of pottery. It depicts the mythical son of Poseidon and stands on the conch shell. When Triton held his tail, a mouthful of dolphins appeared between his legs.

It was founded by Bernini in 1653. It is a scale research on the southern end of the Roman Plaza Piazza Navona. It is called Fontana Del Moro. The Pope’s innocent X Pamphili then commissioned him to modernize the fountain at the northern end and the southern end, while Fontana Del Moro was located opposite the Pope’s Pamphili family palace. The original Triton research has been ignored for several centuries. Several generations of people are in the private collection of the Chigi family, but its high quality is covered by a thick layer of dark coating. The resumption of the paint in 2018 and eliminated the paint layer, revealing Benny’s special grasp of details and expression.

Bernini’s second pottery model is the collection of the Kimbell Art Museum in Waldrops, Texas. This is a more detailed version (despite the lack of arm), scholars believe that Benny uses it as a gift after the fountain is completed. The original research model is the reference work of the Belnini assistant, not a charming speech. Benini even accused the Pope of this, listed the “Modello Fatto Da Me” (“Model made by me”) in the Fontana Del Moro invoice of 1655.
