This week, a woman named Daphne de Kreek drove some Rotterdam marathons on Tiktok.

In the clip, Daphne closed on the finish line when many of her friends and family joined her track. Most of them left her- they wouldn’t touch or hug her, just run to her side and cheer her up. Well, except that her partner grabbed her face and kissed her, slowing her down for a moment before she could continue.

The video, titled Positive, captures moments when Daphne is obviously an exciting one.

“What an experience and support!” said the subtitle, translated from Dutch.

“There are a lot of things against me, and it took nearly an hour more than my goal. But I did it, and I like it!”

However, with over 4 million views and comments closed, it was obvious that not everyone agreed with her positive stance.

Why do you steal her moments?

Although Daphne was able to pause for a while to continue the game, for many, it would be the last straw. So close to the finish line, any runner loses motivation and temporarily persevere, they can collapse into the arms of their loved ones – and, early-up people can put anyone’s position in danger.

It’s frustrating that this is not the first time we’ve seen this.

I dare say that for the moment, many of us would imagine a video of a notorious mother, just seconds from the finish line of the Brazilian half marathon, just having her husband push the kids on her path to congratulate their mom-even if she isn’t over.

She was about to have her own moment and ended up with the first place, but her husband almost ruined it as she kept hugging the kids, shrugging.

And, just last month, another clip spread from a couple in Wales, where a woman crossed the finish line of a marathon and saw her now knee marriage, proposed.

Of course, at least this puts her to an end, but does he really have to steal her moment?
