Temperature Games - 8 Ways to Make You Shiver in the Cold

Last week, we looked at ways to use heat in the temperature game. Today, we’ll look at the other side of the temperature game – cold (with a different approach and some safety tips).

Why play it cold?

This is the same reason we manipulate heat – we use the body’s nerve receptors to induce arousal.

Combining them in unpredictable ways is especially fun and can be enjoyable for anyone with any kink. Add in other forms of BDSM practices like sensory deprivation and you have yourself an unforgettable night.

Where should I add air conditioning?

Anywhere. I can’t think of any off-limits areas (except the eyeballs!). Erogenous zones are great targets, but there are some exceptions from a safety perspective.

What can you use?

1. Ice – When it comes to stimulating temperature play, this is probably what you have in mind. Sliding a piece of ice along your partner’s skin can be extremely pleasurable (especially if you’re already aroused by foreplay).

Safety – Ever lick something frozen with your tongue? Well, think of this as something else on your body. Never use ice straight from the freezer. Let it melt in a bowl for a few minutes until it’s smooth and creamy.

Also, some people like to insert it in the butt or vagina…

But you know what? Does ice sometimes melt into sharp edges? It can also cause damage if it stays in contact with the skin for too long (even more than 5 minutes can cause damage). Quite exquisite. I will stay External use.

2. Sex toys – Placing your (non-electric) metal, glass, ceramic or porcelain sex toy in a bowl of ice water can recreate the same sensation as ice cubes, but is much safer.

Safety – Some people recommend putting sex toys in the fridge, but this should be left to more experienced people who know their preferences and limits (metal sex toys, for example, take and hold temperatures like crazy!) A bowl of ice water will do the trick.

3. The bathroom is cold – A cool bath or shower is a scream of cool. It feels great after a good sweat session.

4. Dessert – Ice cream or popsicles not only tingle your skin, but also stimulate your taste buds. After eating any cold food, lick it clean! But… never put sweets near your vagina. Doing so may trigger a yeast infection.

5. Weather – Mother Nature may be the ultimate queen. Wait until she makes the snow… then place your partner in a fluffy snowdrift.

If you were to take a sexy bath like a polar bear, you could only stay in it for a few seconds. No longer.

Safety – Limit these antics to A few minutesOtherwise, you may be exposed to the air or suffer from hypothermia. Afterwards, immediately go inside and warm up. Also, do not do this if there is a wind chill or the temperature is very low.

6. Medicinal items – Cooling creams for sore joints or muscles, peppermint creams, cooling anti-itch lotions, after-sun gels, etc. But not prescription drugs, just over the counter. Don’t forget to read the safety tips that come with the product.

7. Stinging Gel – Some sex products are made specifically for cryo play. Some are strictly for external use, and some (like cooling lubricants) can be taken internally.

8. Cooling massage oil – Place lotions and oils in a bowl of ice water to cool, then apply. Very fun. Alternatively, you can buy the same stuff but with added cooling agents.

Other ways to stay safe

  • Stinging, burning, or other discomfort It could be a sign of frostbite or another problem.
  • Coldness reduces our response to pain – This means that if something hurts your partner, they may not be able to accept it as normal.
  • For these reasons, any exposure to cold should be brief. Under strict surveillance.
  • Don’t forget about follow-up care! It doesn’t matter whether you’re using ice cubes for the first time or you’re a long-time user using it in your walk-in freezer.
  • There is always one Talk later Wrap yourself in a blanket or house clothes and drink some water. Discuss what you liked or didn’t like and what you would do differently in future encounters.
