A retired porn star who now offers dating advice to men has been slammed after revealing how he “disciplines” the women he dates.
Stirling Cooper, a self-proclaimed sex coach from Western Australia, recently appeared on the podcast “Frankifyy” to share his secrets for “improving your sexual performance” and “successfully dating the man of your dreams.”
In the hour-long podcast shared on YouTube, Cooper detailed how he would cut ties with women he thought drank too much during a date and said he would chase away anyone who wore jeans.
The controversial content creator, who has been likened to controversial influencer Andrew Tate, has been widely criticised for his comments, with many labelling him “misogynistic” and “controlling”.
“I hate it when women wear jeans on dates. It’s the most unfeminine thing I can think of,” the 37-year-old said in a clip that has gone viral.
“I’ll say ‘don’t wear jeans’ before we meet. If you wear jeans, I’m going home. Very clear.”
Cooper frequently touts products he believes can enlarge the penis, and he advises men to limit their alcohol consumption, according to the New York Post.
After leaving the industry in 2020, the former adult film star recently said he “does not encourage men to participate in any form of pornography” and said he prohibits women from ordering more alcohol than he thinks they should consume.
“If I think a woman has had too much to drink, I’ll stop her from drinking,” Cooper said.
“She had one drink. Two drinks. She drank too much and went to order another. I would tell her. I would stop the waiter and say, ‘No, you’re not bringing her a drink, bring her a water’.”
He added: “It’s a bit like the way a father disciplines his daughter.”
Cooper then boldly claimed that women told him the move was “the sexiest thing a man has ever done”, but many viewers called it “controlling” and “misogynistic”.
“I think they’d probably say this is the ‘most sexist’ thing a man has ever done! But he only listens to what he wants to hear because I highly doubt he ever listens to a woman,” one person commented.
“He doesn’t like wearing jeans on dates? Well I don’t like dating with misogyny and controlling dad issues,” one person commented on Instagram.
Another responded: “If you try to control what your partner wears and eats on a first date, I can’t imagine what will happen on the second date and beyond.”
Another pointed out: “Did he really say he was going to treat his date like a father and daughter? Ugh.”
One woman stressed: “Run away quickly.”
Other women scoffed at Cooper’s advice, with one declaring, “I signed up for a date, not an adoption interview with a man who thinks he could be my dad.”
“Oh now I know why I’m single… it’s because I wear jeans and do what I want all the time!!!!” mocked another.
“Not even drinking but this makes me want to go out drinking with him just to annoy him. In my favorite jeans,” another person laughed.
Cooper worked as a porn star for five years before embarking on a new career as a self-described “sex coach.” During this time, Cooper claims to have won “multiple awards” for his performances.
He has since transformed himself into a relationship coach, offering a range of “educational” products, including a book that he claims can help men grow.
One of his tidbits is telling men to “show their masculinity without reservation” and preaching that “sex is a skill that can be learned.”
He said he was flooded with messages after working in the porn industry and decided to become a “sex coach”.
“I started replying to everyone I could, and eventually I realized that the average man faces a lot of problems in his love life,” he told Lifestyle & Fashion Magazine last year.
