A private 47-seat cocktail bar, tucked at the end of a dim hallway, crutches and the end of the story, is a drinking place inspired by the romance and mystery of the golden age of jazz in the 1930s. Located on the 28th floor of Astoria Osaka, Waldorf Astoria, a 252-room luxury hotel that blends New York charm with Japanese design, it opened on April 3 – a tribute to Manhattan’s Hideaway Bars.

Canes & Tales’ opening menu is based on The story of the jazz erathe cocktail is named after 11 short stories by F. Scott Fitzgerald. This includes “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button”, inviting clients to choose their whiskey era. Other highlights are “Porcelain and Pink”, which is a mixture of vodka and coconut rum, and “Mr. Iki,” featuring shochu and campari. Food products from Japanese oysters to Coney Island hot dogs.

Another luxury hotel to be opened in the city this spring is Patner Osaka, Osaka, where you can find unique spaces, a sonata bar and a lounge. It is located on the 20th floor of the building and offers stunning views of the Osaka Castle, especially from the terrace. There is a wide variety of classic and iconic cocktails to choose from, such as the moon with flavour, shiso, cardamom and soda. Creative cocktails paired with bar snacks and Pintxos.

In front of the bar is a large upgraded painting by Wataru Hatano, called “Mud”, which contains soil excavated during the construction of the hotel. What really sets the Sonata Bar & Lounge apart, though, is its auditory lounge, which includes a wall of vintage analog speakers made in Japan. Every night, staff take turns playing various tracks from the bar’s huge record collection, including jazz, soul and Japanese city pop.

Three minutes from Shin-Fukushima Station, Sushidokoro is the latest branch of the famous Issekisancho restaurant group located in Tokyo. The concept of restaurants is “affordable luxury”. It can achieve this by buying large quantities of high-quality seafood directly from the fishing port rather than passing through traditional markets. Guests can choose from four courses, all courses come with a rich range of sushi plates as well as Chawanmushi, a variety of appetizers and shakes shaved ice.

The restaurant is tucked in the back alley with a stylish and comfortable interior that is hidden. When the chefs use their magic, guests sit on the counter, combining a subtle and innovative style to enhance the sushi plate. On June 22, the Issekisancho Club will open to transform the sushi restaurant into a bar from 10pm to 3am, and the menu will serve a variety of drinks, including original cocktails, including a large number of seasonal fruits.

Opened on April 3, the Staircase is an exquisite rooftop bar in the upscale entertainment district, just a 10-minute walk from Osaka Station. With its stunning views of the city’s skyline, it quickly became a hot spot for visitors to the area. The bar is designed by Yasumichi Morita, a renowned interior designer known for its work around the world, including New York, London, Shanghai and Hong Kong.

You can enjoy the stairs as a shisha bar, or as a leisure drink and bite.
