My butt plug is huge and I can’t return it. Any suggestions?

First of all, English is not my first language. So I bought a butt plug a few months ago, without realizing that all the normal sized ones were sold out in my country. I was stupid enough to not read the instructions, or to be ignorant, just didn’t realize that the large size was so big (57mm diameter). When it arrived to me, I was shocked to see how big it was, and then I screwed up. I tried to use it, but it hurts, and even if I used lube, I couldn’t get it all in (and I was afraid it would get stuck, which wouldn’t be the first time, because I have much smaller butt plugs, and usually it gets stuck). I called the store where I bought it (before I used it for the first time) and they told me that I couldn’t return it because I cut the foil and they couldn’t return it for hygiene reasons. I want to keep it and use it one day, so I would be happy if someone could give me some advice on how to train it, how to start.
