Mixchx has launched a powerful new film that falls into the depths of love, desire and cultural conflict, which makes our secret, written and directed by Christina Shine.

Starring Amirah Adara and Zazie Skymm, Moon Keeps Our Secret tells the story of two step sisters whose taboos go beyond tradition. When Zazie leaves their farm, Amirah realizes that she loves her more deeply than her sisterly feelings. Amirah is consumed by desire, invoking an ancient spell that brings her into a dream where the two can love without the bondage of reality.

“The story of the moon keeping our secrets is one of the secrets of desire, transformation and ridding from the chain of tradition,” Shine said. “I want to tell a story about love so deep that it goes beyond everything, even the rules of our lives.”
