Men test women to see if they are gold diggers

Men are looking for sneaky ways to determine if a date is a golden digger – and the hard way is learning this.

A single woman shared her recent experience with this experience in Reddit’s R/Aita Subreddit – which has since been deleted.

The 29-year-old went to a date established by a mutual friend and she thought she was doing well overall.

At the end of the date, when the $100 check arrives – her date decides to test her to see if she is Golddigger, not known to her.

Explain that she had everything to separate the bill from him, you can imagine how surprised she was when he handed her a check and asked if she could pay.

The lady had to do it, and once she took care of the business, the OP explained his reaction: “After I paid, he had such a huge smile on his face and said, “Congratulations, you passed the test! You are not an excavator,” she wrote in the post.

Everyone has past relationships. The couple is no different because the guy explained that he used to date someone who expected him to pay for everything.

How she handled the news: “I told him I was not his ex and he had no right to treat me until it was proven innocent. I also said he was not the prize I needed to pass the test.”

Thank her for standing up for herself.

Of course, the commentators stood out to this guy, and many agree that this “test” is a crazy thing.

One commenter wrote: “…It’s definitely a test-see how far he can disrespect you. His behavior will only get worse from there.”

Another user wrote: “While his ex certainly can only make money, he doesn’t actually offer anything else. At least, not a pleasant character.”

This is not the first case of a man testing water to see the woman he is dealing with.

In another Reddit thread – in the same Subreddit – a woman shares her strange experiences while dating a date she encountered in a dating app, claiming to be a carpenter to see if she wants to date only their money.

“He ended up admitting that he wasn’t a carpenter and he just wanted to test me,” the OP wrote.

The woman said her date mentioned a “low-paying job” to see how she reacted to it.

Reddit users also spent a live day in this story.

“‘I want to start this potential relationship by lying to you.’ I think it’s mean because F-K, you can go to F-K,” the comment said.

Another person pointed out: “This guy has luggage and you probably don’t need to deal with it.”

“His ‘test’ gives his character flaws. He shows you he’s a snob. His choice of ‘slum’ job is profitable if you’re good, especially if you set up a company. He’s a jerk,” the others joked.
