M23 Convert from NJOY Pure Plug Large to Large Egg Plug?

Do you guys feel like the jump in diameter is too big? The NJOY has a maximum diameter of 1.5 inches, and I can currently fit it in pretty easily without preheating. I think the large egg is about 2 inches in diameter, and I know a jump of 0.5 inches might be a bit excessive. Does the softness of the silicone mitigate this issue? I used to have a small egg plug, but unfortunately it got thrown away.
