Is it possible to increase the butt plug from 1 inch to 1.34 inches?

Hi! So, my girlfriend bought me a 1″ stainless steel plug (I measured it, about 24mm, but my caliper is a bit thick, haha), and recently I saw a guy in college selling a 34mm (about 1.34″) stainless steel plug for a very low price (unused, worried people) and my concern is: will I get hurt? I saw a lot of posts on this subreddit saying the rule of thumb is to add 0.25 – 0.3 inches, and this 0.34 inches (or even more, I don’t know how he measured it) seems a bit exaggerated, just looking at the numbers, but I don’t know how much I can add or subtract, because I’m a beginner. Just for reference, the 1″ one is perfect for me, and sometimes even a little easy.
