I switched my 9 to 5 with only fans – I worked harder

Alix Lynx gave up her full-time job.

Alix Lynx plans to never work 9-5 again because she can’t stand the repetition of office work.

The 35-year-old sex worker is making over $80,000 in a company job, but she finds it completely uninspiring.

She told news.com.au. “The worst part is that it has to be at the exact same time at the exact same time.

“It’s like Groundhog Day.”

Sitting at her desk all day, Ms. Lynx felt “crazy”, claiming that she would only stare at the computer screen until 5 p.m.

“This work is monotonous. I feel like I’ve made other people’s money in other people’s time,” she said.

At some point in her career, the 35-year-old has more than 2 million followers on Instagram and works on social media. But she kept pressing her good ideas behind her boss and felt frustrated.

“I hate being told what to do when it comes from someone I know, and I don’t know much about certain things,” she said.

“When I feel like I have other ideas and we can do better, I don’t like to smile and nod and say ‘yes’.

“That’s when I realize it, ‘Oh, I need to be my own boss’.”

Ms. Lynx finally joined Onlyfans. She creates X-level content online, and even if she prefers the job, she actually thinks it’s harder than the 9-5 honing.

“It’s much harder,” she said.

“The difference is that it’s something I love to do. So it really doesn’t work, but don’t get me wrong, it’s hard because I have to think all the time on my feet.”

Ms. Lynx said her work is no longer boring and it is the same every day. Now, she has had to think about new ideas.

“Every day is a brand new day, and I don’t always know what will happen. But that’s what makes it exciting,” she explained.

“The more I work and the smarter I work, the more successful I will be.”

The 35-year-old pointed out that she is always motivated to succeed now because “no one comes to save me” because it’s her business.

She said: “There is always a fire under my butt. At the end of the day, this is my business, this is my profession. No one comes to save me.

“All the weight is on me, all the pressure is on me, if I don’t do it well, it’s on me. No one else.”

She is now using her “brain” more because she keeps coming up with ideas.

Ms. Lynx said: “There will always be some challenges that I never thought of solving. It’s a lot.”

“As a business owner, I’m wearing a bunch of hats. I’m overseeing everything, I’m in touch with the PR guy, I have graphic design conferences, I’m working on branding products.

“I’m chatting with other creators, planning scenes, figuring out what scenes we’re going to shoot, coordinating the schedule, planning social media content, and when it comes to posting, what we’re going to post.

She said she felt her life “makes meaning now” because she was responsible for her success and creativity.

It does mean the day of finishing work at 5pm is behind her. She has no set time.

“From the moment I opened my eyes to going to bed, I was almost working hard. It’s hard to get the exact number of hours of work a week, definitely more than 40,” she said.

For Ms. Lynx, it was hard to determine her workload because she realized it depends on what others define as work.

Will her next move work when she calls her graphic designer? Does this work when she takes a personal development course that makes her a better business owner?

“I’ve been doing something, weekends, Sundays…I’ve worked hard,” she said.

“Although I do have to recharge at least an entire day a week to completely unplug.

“I don’t always do this, but I’ve realized the importance of it.”

This has reached the point where the only star admits it will be difficult if she doesn’t work.

“I feel like if I don’t do productive things, I’ll waste time. I’ll optimize time often,” she said.

“I order groceries every day and eat the same meals every day, so I don’t waste time on small decisions.”
