I can fix it by myself: Billy’s best blog
My self is the elephant in the room. Whenever I make sure that my mind is right, I have to remind myself that a closed mind locks in the ignorance within. If I’m not curious about the possibility beyond opinions, then my blind spot mushroom, I might fall into failure. So yes, when I think I have all the answers – like people just do what I do, or just vote in the way I vote, or just believe what I believe – I lock my own ignorance in it. The mistake I’m sure is my metadignity. I get it.
We all have a share of metadignity, the Dunning-Kruger effect. Our capabilities in a particular field are limited and we overestimate our capabilities. When the subject is something we all experience, such as fear, society or weather, we tend to think we have figured it out because we have a lot of contact. But how exactly do we cause fear, experts in the way society works, or why the weather is so unpredictable? Why do we believe one or another person or another idea is the solution? Self-care: Open up the possibility of your mistakes. But it is difficult to let go correctly. My self really wants to be a genius. I long for the right verification and emotionally, I want certain comfort.
Determinism helps us predict the future, so we can prepare for it. Everyone wants to be prepared for what’s coming. Prediction keeps us alive. That’s our brain. Whether it’s capturing balls or seeds, or passing through cars on the highway, we need predictability to guide our successful results. Understanding the potential outcomes and choosing the outcomes I want is what convinces me that I am safe. I just need enough information. But what if it is impossible to get information that I need to take good action? Obviously, I can’t close my eyes and catch the ball. Sometimes I can see it, but I still can’t decide how to capture the trajectory of the ball. Without accurate information, it can be frightening. I was hit by the ball.
Recently, I watched a very cool sci-fi series called “3 Physical Problems” which shows the risk of unpredictable normal events. I looked up Wikipedia’s science to understand what the phrase means and found a simple graph in physics which opened my mind a lot. Therefore, I will use layman terms to explain three physical problems. Three physical problems occur when the three entities in the motion are so closely aligned that their gravity destroys their trajectory until it becomes chaotic and their motion becomes random. In this series, an alien planet is so close to each other that their orbits are very close to each other. Their movement becomes random, and the seasons on alien planets become unpredictable. Every once in a while, three suns line up and fry the surface of the earth. Therefore, aliens are looking for a new home.
Now, I walk my limbs away and use the metaphor of three physical problems to explain my current life experience on Earth. Think of the three entities in the movement as our energy supply, our economy and our climate. You might understand this intuitively. Every creature needs energy and energy to power our economy. Economic growth depends on energy. However, our main sources of energy (oil, gas and coal) occupy the climate. When the climate becomes unpredictable or even catastrophic, it affects energy supply and the economy. Our three physical problems are that energy, global economy and climate are so interconnected that one of the changes causes the other two until they bounce against each other in the chaos we are experiencing.
I tell you this story because it is a way to observe events in our world that do not blame or humiliate others. This is not political. This is not only our country. This is a complex problem that human activities have been in the past hundreds of years. To save ourselves, the first risk we face is oversimplification. Meta-dignity. Simple answer. No one knows how to get rid of these three physical problems. It will take generations to change the lives of human beings on Earth.
Trust your intuition. When someone says it, I can fix it alone – this is the sound of meta sound. As our three physical problems accelerate as the warming planet accelerates, billions of people need to develop their own lifestyles to adapt to the speed of change. Life on Earth is becoming increasingly unpredictable. Anxiety is a natural reaction. breathe. Find ways to develop your lifestyle to adapt to the speed of change. In our family, minimalism is replacing materialism. This is a continuous adjustment. A new mindset. Do we want to save the earth? That seems very childish. However, we believe that smaller, manageable actions are necessary to achieve a better future. We are trying to reduce energy.
Even in the face of three physical problems, I rejected the idea of helplessness. We are not dinosaurs. We have the ability to adapt. I look for the company of someone different from me and try to be an active listener. To inoculate my own metadignity, I remained curious. I practice tolerance. It’s not always easy. Sometimes, even someone I usually agree with, my hair is on fire. Everything can be grasped. Rest assurance feels like a skill. I want to be good at fostering my own tranquility because I see how the complexity of our situation increases. If this resonates with you, consider ways to protect your mental health. We are our own most valuable resource. We can fix it once, once, maybe forever.
