There is nothing like a woman’s touch, but sometimes that kind of touch can be a little too far.
A husband goes to Reddit to share how his wife turns his former bachelor pad into a plant oasis. This may be because it is placed gently based on the picture, with so many greenery in the renovated apartment that their dogs also look lost in the jungle chaos.
In R/Malelivingspace Subreddit, the original poster reads: “Before/after Marrying GAL with a smaller plant disease”, and the photos above and after show the green effect his wife had on his home.
The first photo shows a neat living room decorated with light sofas, orange accent chairs, lights, carpets – all typical fixtures can decorate this room.
In the photo behind, the room looks completely different – probably making Reddit users wonder if it’s the same one.
Compared to (what looks like), a few furniture, wall artworks and image frames are added to a smaller addition. Green plants cover almost every square inch of the living space – occupying floors, walls and even some furniture.
If you think this is the worst case, think about it again. Other published photos show the front and back of the apartment kitchen, its entrance and piano corners. These areas are dealing with the same situation – factory overload.
If people didn’t share their contrasting opinions in the thread’s topic, it wouldn’t be red – so, that’s no different.
Of course, there are some cynical plant haters.
“Oh, my…. Maybe you should think twice before you do it. If it were me, I would run,” the comment said.
“What is her favorite restaurant? Why is the Rainforest Cafe?” one commenter joked.
“Well, I like green plants, but that might be an interest in her. But, she pays tribute to all of this stuff,” another said.
Despite some negative comments, many others admire the shift.
“Aside from the plants, it looks like a truly upgraded decor, Art Nouveau and carpets really fill the space,” one praised.
“broooo I’m not a plant, but boy, did she upgrade your comprehensive aesthetic. Holy cow, your place looks good,” others wrote.
“My husband and I just cacked about it for a few minutes. Added commenter.
In the comments, the poster reveals that he and his wife live in Portland, Oregon – he loves his home, and plants are everywhere, just as he loves her.
“She is my lifelong love! I absolutely love being surrounded by tropical plants and constantly amazed at how she intuitively understands how to cultivate life.”
