How tell if a cock ring it’s too tight?

I brought a triple cock ring and it arrived today, I tested it but found it very difficult to put on or I put it on wrong (the holes seem to be the same size) how can I tell if it’s too tight?
Should I just put and see if my jewels turn purple?💀
