Hi there husband in need of some help!

Hi guys so we’re not completely new to sex toys
Have played with a few for a number of years now but always played safe and been sorta simple normal stuff. (Avg size dildos, vibes, wand etc)
I recently bought something a little longer than we’d previously had (8inch pretty thick)
My wife really enjoyed it, could tell it sorta took her somewhere else how ever it got stopped about half and inch from its base (she complained of slight pain) and I think surely I was hitting her cervix a couple of times it seemed like I slipped a bit deeper but was struggling to find it!
On researching I realised softer or curved toys can help gettin deeper and find the fornices but completely lost on where to start!
Would consider most but would also be good to get something that might help us out that still look pretty dick like? Or is that not easy.
We’d both like to see how far we can go with this
