When you know what’s important to you, making decisions is easy.

Not all sex recovery meetings are the same. Yes, most meetings are based on the same basic literature and follow the same basic format. But some meetings are attended mostly or entirely by men (or women). Some meetings are speakers meetings, where only one person speaks, while others are discussion meetings, where anyone can share. Some meetings allow for communication (feedback between members), while others strongly discourage it. Some meetings read and discuss the 12 steps or specific literature; other meetings encourage people to talk about whatever is on their mind. Knowing this, newly recovered sex and porn addicts should attend a variety of meetings to see which ones work best. To themkeeping in mind that their needs may change over time.
