Familymart Eevee Cooperation Snack Review in Japan
When Familymart announced its latest Pokemon collaboration, which included everyone’s favorite Evolution Pokemon, Eevee and its beloved Eeveelutions, we knew we had to test these limited edition snacks. After all, everyone in the office – almost everyone everywhere, honestly – has a soft spot for the cute EEVEE and all its evolution.
Wanting to try everything, we came across multiple Familymart locations and found a lot of things Pokemon fans already know: these collaborations are popular. Not every store carries full stock, and some items quickly fly off the shelves.
A great example – we couldn’t get Sylveon Charm Peach Gelatin drinks anywhere, and despite buying a variety of items that should have qualified us for an exclusive acrylic keychain, every store we visited was running out, leaving only our taste tests that weren’t as good as our taste tests.
Eevee & Pikachu Chocolate Banana Ice Age (¥350)
Just like any refrigerator you can buy at Familymart, you can find these in the refrigerator section as well as in all frozen drinks and smoothies. Simply pop them out into the smoothie maker machine, make sure to remove the plastic cover before pressing to start, and wait until hot milk is poured into the drink. Grab the straw or popsicle stick and stir until combined.
judgment: Perfect for stuffy summer days. You can definitely taste the chocolate chips mixed with a sweet, banana-flavored mixture. The drink melts very quickly, so you have to be quick. The banana mixture was sweeter than expected, but overall was pleasant.
Vaporeon, Jolteon and Flareon Colored Chicken Falafel (¥430)
There is really no mistake with chicken, eggs and greens. Each eeveelution represents a different sandwich component: the fire leaf leaves are bright red tomato sauce, and the electric Jolteon is fluffy Tama We’re pretty sure the egg salad and vaporeon are extra lettuce (if you think about it, because the green is poured by water, that makes sense).
judgment: This is a solid chicken falafel that just happens to look well worthy of Instagram. The flavors can blend well without being revolutionary, but the portions are relatively small compared to other convenience store sandwiches – consider it the perfect breakfast sandwich rather than a full meal.
Blizzard Ramune Warabimochi in Glaceon (¥168)
For beginners, Ramn Is it Japan’s iconic soda? A sour, slightly sweet drink with a unique glass bottle with a marble stopper. PelimchiOn the other hand, it is a traditional Japanese candy made from Bracken starch that creates a jelly-like texture that is usually applied with soy powder dust.
judgment: Yes, this is blue. But if you are a fan of Ramune’s unique foam flavor, this little treat will win you. Plus, we were a little surprised when we had it – instead of the uniform smooth, sticky texture you expect from the traditional Warabimochi, we were hit by random crunchy sugar crystals that popped out of your mouth. In addition, the aroma of soda is very strong.

If we are totally honest, it is the undisputed star of our taste test. Wrapped in an impossible fluffy sponge cake filled with delicate matcha butter, this roll cake disappeared in seconds.
judgment: We cut this beauty into pieces for the team to try, and the reaction was consistently praised. Lightweight and sweet, it also has a gorgeous swirl-like matcha pattern that makes it almost too beautiful. almost. It is also clever to connect with Leafeon through the taste of matcha “leaf”.

Sylveon Charm Peach Gelatin Drinks (¥268)
The sold-out place, we seem to be, is an escaper. From the official image, this seems to be a peach jelly drink with real fruit, packaged in two different cute designs. Sometimes the most desired item is something you can’t have, and this Sylveon drink has gained legendary status in our minds purely through scarcity.

Umbreon and Espeon towels in small bags (¥2,000)
These towels are part of Familymart’s surprisingly popular convenience suit collection, and they turn into cute Umbreon and Espeon head-shaped bags. At 2,000 yen they are definitely a premium project for this collaboration, but they may come in handy Sultry summer.
