I worked in adult stores for 7 years and the biggest mistake I saw customers make was the material of their products and some people don’t realize this. Please! Stay away from jellos that are usually made of PVC, rubber, vinyl and Cyberskin/super soft materials that require the use of clearing powder. Cyberskin is very soft but requires more care. If you buy super soft material, sometimes online or local adult stores will urge you to buy clearing powder which is just overpriced corn starch powder. Cyberskin often attracts small particles and even hair and the material becomes sticky when lubricant is used or even when it is wet after using clearing powder, the material is still sticky. The best way to preserve the material is to put an unlubricated condom on it and then apply lubricant on it. Keep it in a dry cool place or keep the packaging intact. Rubber/PVC contains carcinogenic chemicals that is why jelly dildos are cheap. I have had customers complain about the material changing color or even melting in their car or in the sun. If the product you receive has a strong smell, stay away!! It mostly smells like it has been treated with chemicals. The best way to preserve is to do something like Cyberskin, I personally stay away from rubber/PVC. Vinyl, like rubber/PVC, contains phthalates. The material I recommend buying- Silicone is usually used in almost all high-end or rechargeable toys. This is a body-safe material. Does not absorb body fluids. Easy to clean up. Fun fact: some dildos are 100% silicone and some can even be boiled if it states on the packaging. This is great if you have a germophobia or want temperature play. -ABS plastic is easy to clean but lubricant is recommended- Glass and stainless steel They are very sanitary, so if you have a germophobia, this is a good investment. I prefer stainless steel because it is more durable and easiest to clean. It requires almost no maintenance. Use any lubricant of your choice. Never have to worry about it breaking. I hope this helps you with your future purchases.
Don’t buy toys, check the materials!
