Do vibrators make a difference?

I bought my first vibrator a few years ago for partnered sex, it was a G-spot silicone wand. I’ve always wanted a stronger vibrator because I always set it to the strongest setting and it never quite lived up to my expectations, even when fully charged. I’ve read different reviews and I’m wondering if there is a style specifically for clitoral stimulation, or is a vibrator just a vibrator? Side question: can anyone recommend a vibrator that doesn’t have a pattern? !
