Couple sells $1K tickets to weddings – and hundreds of guests
When it comes to “rich or poor”, Marley Jaxx and Steve Larsen definitely chose the former.
Before saying “I Will” on August 1, the Idaho-based digital entrepreneur sold $1,000 tickets for a $50,000 wedding weekend event, providing space for up to 270 guests, which is from most strangers on the internet.
But Happy Honey insists that turning their marriage into a show of making money is not just about making money.
Instead, it is an effort to “destroy” the billion-dollar wedding industry and make the world a better place.
Jaxx, 34, told the Post that he explained: “We went bankrupt and raised $132,000 for the charity.
Now, she keeps laughing at the bank.
Jaxx continued: “Weddings are so expensive, selling them to a wedding is destructive.
“we would like [sell tickets] Millennials added: “Not a lie.”
She and 37-year-old Larsen were shocked by the “crazy” fees (such as the $650 “cake cutting” fee) at the local wedding venue.
So instead of paying for a budget for the social media-savvy lover, the 192,000 Instagram and YouTube followers of their group, paid for in-person seats on the Soirée they don’t share much.
About 30 premium scrollers purchased $997 “VIP” vouchers (Jaxx and Larsen ended up reaching $1,000) for their wedding marathon.
In addition to the usual rehearsal dinners, weddings and reception events, the beautiful penny allows freight participants to participate in a range of unusual products – from a romantic consultation meeting led by experts to a “biohacker brunch” on Saturday morning.
There, the party’s discerning attendees enjoyed red light therapy care, breathing work tutorials and $20,000 in bio-granted energy rehabilitation.
“Our social media audience actually offered a $1,000 price,” Larson laughed. “We asked them what they expected to pay.” [these special experiences] They said, “One big!”
The couple’s family and friends were awarded the VIP level for three days.
Fans with meaningful budgets from cyberspace can choose to pay a $57 admission fee for a Friday afternoon ceremony and reception, or $97 for Thursday night’s rehearsal dinner and wedding.
About 100 guests chose these options.
However, not everyone saw the value of the two’s stylish fundraising campaign.
The virtual vulture pecked in Jaxx and Larsen’s rare move – accusing the two of “dreaming” the marriage and labeling it as “nut.”
But collecting a cover on a wedding chapel door is a unique way to save a few dollars on a big day, which can make love birds over $26,000.

The New York newlyweds had previously told the Post that the fee for $333 per person was lower and bank accounts piled up.
Meanwhile, Jaxx and Larsen said they were happy to have also recovered the expenses they spent for to-do splashes – topped with live performances by dancing trombones Jonathan Arons, Ragoza and DJ Dynamix music and Stella’s ice cream, ice cream, candy Michelle Sohan Sohan sohan sohan sohan sohan sohan sohan sohan soheys Secrets Cookies.
But these babies are even more excited about their trip to Kenya in July 2026, where they will be building classrooms for kids in need – raising money from the wedding.
“It costs $15,000 to build a classroom with rural influence,” Jaxx said. “We went to Africa with them two years ago, and it was the most beautiful, life-changing experience.”
“What we shared was that at our wedding, a few people donated the entire $15,000,” she said. “I got people close to me and said, ‘I don’t know who you are, but I’m at your wedding, it’s great.'”
“They came to the wedding as strangers, left as friends, and now we are all on this life-changing trip to Africa.”
Despite the helpful funding, Larson said selling tickets for special occasions also helped him and Jaxx eliminate their true supporters from fake role-players from their guest list.
“When someone chooses to buy tickets for a wedding, they say ‘yes’, but that’s not without obligations,” he noted. “Everyone who is there wants to be there.”
