Floral arrangement by Elizabeth Luly yes one Enemy lover, holiday rom-com, this is simply iris!
Roz Kennedy’s all about her company career–until she passes promotion and discovers that her favorite childhood farm, Red Tractor Farm, is about to get into trouble. On a whim, she abandoned her office life and bought the place, but keeping it alive means she needs to invest seriously.
Meanwhile, Olivia Mitchell, who runs a florist, hears the farm’s new owner cutting off her anger, especially when it turns out to be Roz, the gorgeous (and slightly crazy) woman she met in a lesbian bar for a while.
When potential investors mistake them for a couple, Roz and Olivia decide to fake it for their own interests. But the more they pretend, the more they start to feel, and both of them have to figure out if it’s just business or more.
writing
This story also has a lot of hearts and a lot of laughter. The characters find themselves in various interesting situations that do make things brighter and help balance the heavier things they deal with.
The Red Tractor Farm is an integral part of the story – its cozy cafe, pumpkin patches, a touch zoo, an eco-friendly greenhouse and yes, yes…even a flower farm. It’s easy to see why everyone in the sapphire spring is so attached.
The pace is just right and closely related to the slow burning romance.
Professionals and my favorite part
I was addicted to the scene where Roz basically met with a potential investor for the first time and accepted her “relationship” with Olivia. It played such a vivid role that I could almost see Olivia’s smug little smirk, steam gushing out of Rhodes’ ears, and Rhodes’s mother was filled with joy. Such an excellent moment!
Roz buys the red tractor farm completely There is inconsistent with the amount of anything she hates about the farm. fertilizer? Absolutely disgusting. ox? Too big. And don’t even let her start flowering – those too cheerful daffodils actually begged to be stared. She began to warm up habits, animals, and even dirt (good…). Just next to this transformation, her view of Olivia began to change. Olivia became less “annoying fake girlfriend” and more “oh no, she was actually irresistible.” It was this slow melt that not only brought Roz deep into the heart of the farm, but also made her more relevant and easy to root.
The sunny and optimistic atmosphere in Olivia contrasts sharply with Roz’s meaningless attitude. She was an absolute delight, but she wasn’t push-ups because she held her own and wasn’t afraid to go to Roz on toe. This push is what makes their dynamics so interesting. Sure, they faked it from the beginning, but as they began to really understand each other, the chemistry was built in a refreshing natural way. I couldn’t help but take root for them. Olivia’s appearance is so nursing that the authenticity of her experience makes it more relevant.
careful
This may be the third book in the Sapphire Springs series, but it is definitely standalone.
in conclusion
All in all, this book is a total treat – a warm, witty little town romance, a blend of tension and tenderness. Roz and Olivia’s journey from fake dates to real things is full of charm, slow-burning chemistry and laughing moments. The comfort of the sapphire springs, the lovely side characters and the emotional depth of woven throughout the process, is an incredibly satisfying read. If you want to tell an enemy story with your heart, humor and the beautiful farm you wish to visit, then this is definitely worth mentioning.

“Roz!” Fred walked out of a black electric car in the parking lot behind Olivia. He turned his sunglasses over his bald head, waved it, and began to walk towards us. Fred looks like he’s just coming from a golf club with fitted naval pants and a white polo shirt.
shit. shit. shit.
“Okay, sorry for shortening one thing, but I’m having a meeting with potential investors on the farm now. Can you both leave?”
I can’t let myself be distracted by mom or Olivia. I can clear the misunderstanding later. Currently, I have to keep the laser focused on getting investment from Fred.
“Roz!” Mom crossed her arms. “That’s the way you can’t talk to your girlfriend.”
“She’s not my girlfriend,” I said through a smile against Fred, who almost arrived at us.
“Sorry, what words have you used recently? Partner?” Mom leaned her head.
“Girlfriend, partner-I’m very happy with anything,” Olivia said with a smile.
“Mom, Olivia, can you leave?” I murmured to myself before Fred arrived at us. “Hi, Fred!”
“Rows, I’m glad to see you again.” Fred stretched out his hand.
“So too,” I said, holding his hand firmly. “Thank you for coming here all the way.”
“And I’m Rhodes’ mom, Mary, this is her girlfriend-queer, companion-oliveli,” Mom In-jacked.
damn it. Fred leaned his head. “I’m glad to see you both.” He glanced at me, his eyebrows slightly raised. No wonder he was surprised. In the ten years he knew me, I never had a girlfriend.
