Becoming Vulnerable – Sexual and Relationship Healing

Growing up means accepting vulnerability.
Happiness expert Brené Brown once wrote, “Accepting our vulnerabilities is risky, but not nearly as risky as giving up on love, belonging, and joy—the experiences that make us most vulnerable.” In other words, to develop truly joyful intimate relationships, recovering sex and porn addicts must overcome fear, shame, and distorted self-image and allow others to see us for who we really are. Only then can meaningful connections begin.
