Anti-abortion Shrek porn and digital magic

Anti-abortion Shrek porn and digital magic

Yes, you read that correctly, anti-abortion Shrek porn. With Rule 34 and all the other weird stuff floating around on the internet, there’s nothing surprising about it. However, every now and then, you come across a title that still blows your mind, like today’s example.

So when the headline “Shrek Porn Used to Fight Anti-abortion Group” popped up on my screen, I was immediately faced with two questions.

It can’t be that bad… can it?

First of all, how bad is this porn?

Secondly, how do you use this in any fight, even a troll fight?

The premise turns out to be simple, but the reasons behind it are terrifying.

Side note: Rule 34 is an Internet motto that states that Internet pornography exists on every imaginable topic. The concept is often described as fan art that depicts typically non-pornographic subjects engaging in sexual acts.

Texas is moving forward with a law that would ban abortions before six weeks of pregnancy. As anyone knows, for some people, that might be too early to even tell if they’re pregnant. As if that were bad enough…

A massive anti-abortion group has created a website that looks like something out of a horror dystopian novel.

Visitors to the Texas Right to Life website have the option of filling out a form to anonymously provide a tip about “a law you believe has been violated.” As VICE News reported last week.

It’s basically a reporting site. But it’s a reporting site for people who want to get someone in trouble for anything other than being pregnant.

“People would be allowed to sue those who help patients get abortions in violation of the ban. Those who lose such lawsuits could have to pay at least $10,000 in damages plus attorney fees.

So how does this relate to the adult material about giant green ogre?

TikTok, along with other apps on the internet, got wind of this and decided to send as many forms as possible to the site. But instead of snitching, they filled out the forms in hilarious ways and attached Shrek pornography.

According to screenshots from the WayBack Machine Archive, the site was indeed down.

Note: The Wayback Machine is a digital archive of the World Wide Web. It was created by the Internet Archive, a non-profit library based in San Francisco, California. Created in 1996 and launched to the public in 2001, it allows users to “go back in time” and see what websites looked like in the past.

Another “But”

But Kim Schwartz, director of media and communications for Texas Right to Life, told VICE News that “there are no issues with the site.”

“We expected spam from the beginning. If you give people a form on the internet, the internet is going to do what the internet is going to do. So we’re not surprised by any of this,” she said. “We have it completely under control.”

They also ban people outside the US or anyone using a VPN.

But that doesn’t mean the porn has stopped.

On top of that, prochoicetrolls.com directs everyone to watch Rick Astley’s “Never Gonna Give You Up” on YouTube. Yes, good old-fashioned Rickrolling. There’s also a small call to action for people to perform any “digital curses” on the whistleblower website.
