Everything you need to know about the 2025 Pokemon Stamps

Pokemon stamp rally season officially resumes. This annual tradition – a summer collaboration between JR East and Pokemon Company – invites fans to condone Tokyo and neighboring areas through trains to collect special stamps on the participating stage. Think of it as a real-world Pokedex adventure: Pick up a brochure, travel to train stations and collect custom Pokemon stamps. Complete the course and you will receive exclusive rewards with Pokemon themes.

2025 edition JR East Pokemon Mega Stamp Rally 36 sites across the Tokyo metropolitan area. Like the game, you build a Pokemon place at a time, this rally challenges you to collect stamps while exploring new communities and improving your travel experience.

From July 18 to August 31, aspiring trainers can collect stamps and receive layered rewards, from limited edition merchandise to transaction cards and toys. With dozens of radio stations, stamps, Pokemon and Prizes to track, the huge scale of the rally can be a bit overwhelming.

This year, JR East Station in and around Tokyo has scattered 36 Pokemon character stamps. Here is a complete list of participating stations and where to find each stamp. We also include the official English name of the character and its official Japanese name for your reference.

Please note that most stamps are located outside the ticket door, which means you have to click on the IC card to officially exit and collect stamps. Your card will be charged even if you exit and re-enter the station to move to the next location. If you plan to catch all Pokemon, invest in JR Tokyo Free Tickets Access to unlimited JR East Line throughout the day.

The radio station marked * is the Phase 2 location.

The Pokemon Stamps Assembly includes a variety of engagement phases – you can choose your own level of commitment, from collecting some stamps for fun to capturing all 36 characters. Each stage has its own unique prize.

Stage 1: Entry Stadium

To complete Stage 1, collect any six-character stamps. Once you have them, head to the specified nine Xintian “Target Store” (Locations listed below) and exchange your brochure for your first reward. Conveniently, most of these stores are located within a radio station near the stamp area.

By completing Phase 1, you can receive a Jumbo Pokemon Trading Card Game Promo Card in Pikachu ex and brochures for Phase 2 and Phase 3.

Phase 2: Trainer Level

Phase 2 requires you to collect all 12 stamps from a special set of radio stations. These 12 “Stage 2” stations are marked with asterisks

Already visited during your first phase of your journey? Good news: You can cut and paste the Stage 2 brochure from the stamps previously collected from Stage 1. But if your goal is to finish all 36, it’s worth collecting new 36.

After completing Phase 2, visit the Tokyo Station’s Target Counter, asking for your next reward: Pokemon Frienda Yellow Mega Lucario Arcade Game Card, a clear multi-case that includes this year’s Pokemon and a ticket to a lottery giveaway – 50 winners will receive a yellow Mega Lucario Plush toy.

Stage 3: Pokemon Master Challenge

To be the ultimate Pokemon Master, catch all 36 Pokemon! If you get all 36 stamps in the brochure, take them to the Tokyo Station’s target counter for exclusive keychain.

You only need a stamp for Shinkansen courses. Collect any of these six special stamps and display them to the target counter at Tokyo Station to earn exclusive medals from Black Rayquaza.

Products and additional activities

Limited edition Pokemon items, including rally-themed merchandise and snacks, will be available at participating Newdays stores.A special premium version of the stamp brochure (¥2,420) is also on sale. It includes s All 36 subways and six Shinkansen stamps in the pace, one stamp brochure holder and Bag your IC card.

Please note that if you use the Advanced Manual, you must redeem all prizes at Tokyo Radio.

Nine bonus redemption locations will also have Pikachu-Edition Tokyo Banana on Tokyo Banana, a popular sponge cake topped with banana cake stuffing. The Pikachu version of the snack comes in four boxes and has a cute Pikachu design on the cake and packaging.

Additionally, the goal counter at the Tokyo Station will be distributed by Captain Pikachu’s paper sun visor from July 18 to September 1 until the final supply is provided.

Finally, the Selected Train will undergo a Pokemon makeover. From August 4, the Yama Natsu Line will be themed with Masukanya (Meowscarada), the Keihin-Tohoku series will showcase Uerukamo (Quaxwell), and the Chuo series will feature Achigeta (Crocalor). The trains will remain Pokemon-themed until late August.
