Batteries Needed for Spencer’s Vibrators?

Spencer’s is the most accessible place for me to buy toys right now, and I was looking at a [Sexology ]( I know it’s not the best place to get toys, but still I bite.

However, the cashier told me I needed to buy the Hott Love batteries for it, because other types would ruin the toy. Is this true? Since I don’t have much cash to spoil myself with, I’d like to be able to take care of my toys for as long as possible.

Flaired as ‘first toy’ because this is my first vibrator. Ish.

Also, if anyone has better recs for Spencer’s vibrators (again, I know they’re not top-of-the-line), I’d be open to hearing them.
