Arguably the hardest item on this list, “doing nothing” isn’t something many of us take lightly. Hell, most of us wouldn’t have a clue where to start. Because it’s entirely possible that you took a vacation and still found yourself glued to social media, the news, or your favorite puzzle game. Or maybe you’re just hyper-social or addicted to online dating. Before you succumb to September, take some time to disengage, decline, and step away from it all. tiltSee what I mean? Sometimes “staring into space” is good for your brain. If you’re short on space, stare at the trees, the sky, or just watch people walk by. Doing nothing can also include taking a nap, meditating without trying to meditate, lying in the grass and breathing in the warm summer air.
