Previously, the chances of a child becoming addicted to pornography were slim, mostly due to lack of accessibility. Before the internet, it took a lot of effort to find and view pornography. Kids had to sneak through his or her dad’s stash of porn magazines or grab something from the shelf at the local gas station when the attendant wasn’t looking. The options were very limited, and kids mostly sneaked around and watched whatever pornography they could find. So, before the internet, the chances of a child becoming addicted to pornography were close to zero. Lack of access to pornography prevented potential problems. Today? The situation is very different. Pornography of all types can be easily and instantly accessed by anyone interested, regardless of age.
