What men don't do anymore

Are the knights dead? After an adult man almost trampled on me recently, I tend to say yes.

He was on the verge of sticking out of my seat in suits and funny socks (boring finance brothers tend to think that weird socks make them look fun).

I was upset with his rugby shortage of public transport, a little more than 8am, and the bus came every 10 minutes – but I wasn’t shocked

This is not very chivalrous, but is this a matter? Is it a concept that men let women walk on public transportation first?

Is it dead when we start advocating for fair wages and our bodies’ rights? Are men no longer polite and equal prices?

I want equal wages, men first follow the Titanic rule of women and children.

It’s not that you want to take a history class, but that you want to catch up with you, the word knight originated in the Middle Ages and mainly refers to the code of conduct of knights.

In modern times, this refers to the behavior of being polite to women, showing kindness and respect.

For example, a man who lets women enter the room first and is willing to give up on public transportation.

However, does this still exist in 2025? Or have we surpassed the normality of society?

When news.com.au climbed the streets of Sydney to get answers, the answers were divided by gender.

Overall, men claim chivalrousness remains, and most women admit they can never see it again, if anything.

One woman declared: “I absolutely think chivalrous is dead. I don’t think the attitude of men is very good.”

“I think yes. I can’t see it often,” another woman echoed.

A young woman in a stylish hat said she wasn’t dead, but admitted that it must be “changing”.

What does Chivalry look like in 2025? Well, not too open the door and make someone a Spotify playlist more.

On the other hand, men think chivalry is still the same thing.

One young man argued: “I think it still exists, I think it should still exist.”

He added: “It is not where it used to be compared to what our parents see it.”

Meanwhile, when asked whether he thought the chivalrous spirit died, the two young men responded with a firm and concise “no”.

There are also many men who refuse to shoot, admitting that they think chivalrous is still alive, so men and women are obviously disconnected on this issue.

Men think they are knights, but women say they just don’t see it in their daily lives, or, if they witness it, they certainly won’t see enough.

What fascinates me is that we have achieved men’s opening speed, far exceeding the same salary we have achieved.

In Australia, there is still a stark gender pay gap of 12.1%.

The dialogue about chivalrous spirit is clearly part of the current cultural epochists.

A woman in the UK posted a video on the train and filmed a group of men sitting while she stood and amassed millions of views.

She set the clip to Lorde’s song “Man of Year Man of Year of Year of the Man of the Man of the Man of the Man” and is currently used on Tiktok to gather bad behaviors for men.

Online people split on editing.

Many people think that it is nothing wrong for men not to stand up for women, which shows that the knight is no longer the same thing.

“I’m confused – are you pregnant? Are you injured? If you’re not injured, they get there first, are strangers, and they don’t owe you a seat,” one said.

“What’s the problem here?” another asked.

“Men don’t owe women anything,” others said.

However, some claim that the video proves that “the Knight is dead.”

Another said, “They push you away, too, and you can sit down.”

One woman claimed: “When I was pregnant, the same thing happened. Only the old lady would be willing to give up her seat.”

The Knights debate is certainly not resolved yet, and at this point I am just for an adult man, not a better seat for me on the bus.
