What is the Difference Between Vibration and Oscillation?

Lovense's Osci has low, medium, and strong oscillation settings.

This might sound like something you would only hear about in physics class.

Yet, even in the world of sex toys, it’s an important distinction. Let’s start with a lesser-known one…

What is Oscillation?

“Oscillation is the motion of an object from its resting position to the maximum distance it can cover on one side, to the maximum distance it can cover on the other side, and then back to its resting position.”

However, the “back and forth” or “up and down” movement is easier to understand than some of the other definitions.

Some familiar oscillating things:

  • Swinging Pendulum
  • Alternating current
  • Playground swing
  • The up and down motion of the boat
  • Waves

What is vibration?

Vibration is an oscillationbut the term is used to label movement Mechanical There are two types of mechanical vibration: natural vibration and forced vibration (but this is not important here).

“The vibration of an object is the motion of the object about its mean position and may be linear, circular, periodic, or aperiodic.”

But how does this change the feeling around your waist?

Difference Between Vibration and Oscillation Sex toys

Technically, all sex toys vibrate. But this is just a purely scientific definition. In fact, almost allLinear, circular, periodic and aperiodic” Route – AKA rumblings in all directions. They scurry around like crazy until your toes curl up and your neighbors think you’re performing an exorcism.

Even though there are tons of toys on the market that can make the G-spot giggle and leap with delight, there is still one “specific move” that works the best and that ladies love.

It’s the “come here motion” combined with gentle pressure on the G-spot.

Nothing really satisfies that need, both figuratively and literally. You can “shake” an S-shaped or C-shaped toy, and some have nice vibrators, but nothing really hits that sweet spot.

here it is Osci by Lovense intervention.

Basically, unlike traditional “everywhere” vibrators, The motor pushes and pulls on a small “bump” underneath the silicone cover. If you look closely at the end (and at the lowest setting) you can see it going in and out.

Now, it may sound like something is hitting your vaginal walls, but remember that a vibrator can do the same thing, it’s just that many kinds of direction. Basically, Oscillating sex toys give a similar feeling to vibrating sex toys, but are more targeted. No energy or movement is wasted – everything is concentrated in one spot.

Is this a good thing or a bad thing?

Well, it’s neither.

It all comes down to personal preference and having one more option on your sex menu. It’s also pretty innovative, which is really hard to do in today’s sex toy industry.

So, which vibrations do you prefer? Please share in the comments!
