But once in a blue moon, there’s a fun enough riding vibe that I’ll make an exception… and the VVD Rider Desire Sex Saddle is one of them, especially since it’s so much smaller than its most famous predecessor. Let’s talk about it.

What is VVD Rider Desire Sex Saddle?

VVD, which stands for “Viva Desire,” is a female-led company that currently only makes one product (you guessed it: Rider Desire). While I would put it in the same category as other rideables like the Sybian and Cowgirl, the Rider Desire is smaller, lighter, cheaper, and easier to install. It’s also rechargeable rather than plug-in.

Shape-wise, it’s “inspired by the thrill of riding a horse,” as it’s shaped like a saddle that you rock back and forth on, similar to something like the Liberator Jaz Motion.

The Rider Desire has a variety of features: There’s a clitoral stimulator (called a “clitoral tap” feature) near the front for you to rub, and a “magnetic docking slot” where you can choose to insert one of the three included plug-in attachments. One with toys. A vibration of the attachment, a thrust, a “knock” on the inner erogenous zones (more on that below). It also has heating function.

Things I like about Rider Desire

• I appreciate that this toy has a clitoral stimulator, and it actually feels really good, as clitoral stimulation often seems to be an afterthought in dual stimulation toys, even though it’s definitely at the core of most vulva owners’ pleasure. The Rider Desire’s “clitoral tap” technology reminds me of the Hot Octopuss Pulse Queen, which also uses a percussive sensation to stimulate the clitoris; it feels more rumble, deeper, and more impactful than standard vibrations. More pleasurable and less mind-numbing. As a personal preference, I also like that it’s more precise/focused than the blunt force clitoral stimulation you get from vibrators like the Sybian or Cowgirl.
• The toy can be controlled via its included remote or via the toy’s own built-in buttons. VVD specifically asked me to talk about the potential kinky uses for this toy, and while it’s not a kinky toy per se, giving the remote to your partner gives them a lot of power and I’m sure they’ll enjoy watching you harness it kind of vibe As for the buttons on the toy itself, I ended up preferring them to the remote because they’re located where my hands naturally rest when I rub the toy – and I only had to use them for a few minutes to memorize their shapes and position so I can operate the toy without looking at the buttons.

The regular vibrating attachment is less exciting to me since I prefer movement to vibration when it comes to internal sensations, but its vibrations are still rumbly and pleasant.
• Even for someone like me who is used to masturbating on my back, the pelvic rocking and rolling motions this vibrator encourages is very natural and fun. I think this kind of toy is fine more This is interesting for those who first learned to masturbate by rubbing objects against each other and/or still do it regularly today.
• For a rideable vibrator, the Rider Desire weighs only 4.24 pounds (“no more than 3 bottles of water,” according to VVD). This has its pros and cons – the main “con” is that it doesn’t stay put when you ride it like heavier toys – but for me it’s almost entirely a “pro” because I physically I often lug heavy vibrators around, so the lightness of this toy makes me more likely to actually use it. • There are some grippy leashes on the bottom of the toy to help keep you in place while riding, which is a thoughtful choice by the designers, although this feature isn’t always very effective (more on that later).
• The magnets that hold the attachment in place are pretty strong, so I think you can safely use this toy for anal penetration without having to worry about the attachment popping out inside you and getting lost there. (However, it is designed for vulvovaginal use, where it works best.)
• The toy has an IPX5 splash-proof rating. Normally this would be a “con” for me as I like to use toys in the bathroom so I prefer them to be completely waterproof but it’s a bit impractical to do that with this one and I appreciate that it’s at least splash proof, So I can rinse it off in the sink with no problem. (Attachments are removable and washable separately.)
• The Rider Desire’s $350 price tag is certainly out of the reach of many, but I think it’s a reasonable price for what you get – a solid vibe with a bunch of different add-ons and features – especially considering Getting to a heavier loaded rideable atmosphere will cost you $1,000-1,500. • As with all rideable vibrators, I don’t think my body is quite right for this toy. I have fibromyalgia, which causes joint pain (among other things), but even before I got fibromyalgia, I never had much flexibility/range of motion in my knees and hips, so always straddled On a toy like this, it leaves all the joints stiff. Within minutes my lower body started screaming in agony. I find bending/leaning forward into an almost doggie position most comfortable as this doesn’t require bending my knees as deeply as standing upright on the toy, so I can hold it longer.
• Unfortunately, I found it difficult to orgasm with this toy because the clitoral stimulator only one Stable vibration mode. Its other 12(!) modes are modes (pulses, upgrades, etc.) that don’t give me direct control over how I feel at any given time. Stable mode is the only mode I can guarantee it stays consistent enough to get me off – except, because only one (Intermediate) Solid speed, I always wanted more power at some point but there was no way to simply turn it up. IMO all vibrators should have minimumThere are 3-5 stable speeds to choose from, especially since most people prefer them to modes.
• Of course, because this toy is rechargeable rather than plug-in, you won’t get the sheer power you’d expect from something like the Sybian. Still, I found it to be quite powerful for its size and surprisingly rumbley. Applying pressure and rocking it back and forth also doesn’t seem to slow down the thrust or tapping of the internal attachment.
• For the same reason, some people may not be able to line up their clitoral stimulator correctly when inserting one of the attachments all The feeling of dual stimulation is difficult to get right: different bodies are different. However, my clitoris-to-vagina distance is fairly wide and I can still get the clitoral stimulator to reach my clitoris without any trouble; sometimes I just have to wiggle it, tilt the toy at a slightly different angle, etc. to get it to sit The location I wanted.
• If I only use the toy on my clitoris, the grip strips on the bottom of the toy don’t seem to hold it in place very well. I have to physically hold the vibe in place or it will slide around on the bed. (The vibe didn’t move much once I had the attachment in the toy and inserted inside me, though.)
• Some of the attachment functions are loud and jarring when in use, especially the piercing function. This is normal for self-propelled toys, but still worth noting.

final thoughts

When I agreed to review this toy from VVD, even though I had little room for more behemoth vibrators, it was because I had a feeling this toy might actually be good…and it is! I think the VVD Rider Desire is a well designed toy that’s perfect for anyone who loves riding/humping/grinding, or anyone who wants a dual stimulation toy that can be used hands-free (for disability reasons or otherwise) people.

That being said, I’m not the target audience for this type of rideable vibe, as it requires a physical position that my body can’t maintain for very long – and I found it challenging to overcome the lack of stable clitoral stimulation in the setup: Toy’s one The steady clitoral stimulation setting felt really good, just not enough to make me cum.

But the tapping and thrust attachments are so good that I’m willing to overlook these issues in the occasional session. I don’t think there’s any other toy in my collection that I can ride up and down, and rub my clit, although Rhythmically tapping and massaging my A-spot.
