Viral trend shows men are documenting their partners

Women, you need to check your man’s phone.

Not because he’s sneaking around on Instagram, but because there’s a good chance he has a secret manual dedicated entirely to you.

While you’re scrolling through Armageddon before bed, he’s holed up in his Notes app, recording your favorite snacks, your shoe size, and what you like to order when you’re hungover and can’t decide.

Social media creator Jessica Kirk has shared an unexpectedly wholesome secret that’s going viral on Instagram: some men secretly save detailed Notes app files about the women they’re dating.

Kirk shared a post asking people if they actually did this — and the evidence started rolling in.

One by one, the men responded with screenshots of their Notes apps, complete with multi-line lists, subtitles, and even a “last updated” timestamp to ensure they were on top of the latest developments.

In one screenshot, a man uses the “About” section of his girlfriend’s phone contact details as a cheat sheet.

Under the heading “About Raven,” he documented everything from her favorite flowers (lilies, roses, and tulips) to the fact that she doesn’t like chocolate but loves white chocolate, and that her favorite restaurant is Benihaha.

He even recorded that she read more than two books a month.

Another called his document “Maia 101,” which included her favorite foods, date night ideas, clothing preferences, sizes and brands, and “things that represent how she receives love.”

It’s essentially a manual on how to make his wife feel seen, fed and spoiled, and he admits that even though they’re married, he’s “still adding a few things.”

Another person’s note section was called “Facts About Her,” and included his girlfriend’s favorite color, what she looked good in, and listed the types of dates she liked, such as “picnics, dancing, lighting candles.”

Another man even entered his girlfriend’s ring size and preference (6.5 ring, gold band, solitaire, pear-shaped and emerald diamond), her favorite artist, her allergies, her children’s sports preferences and her dream vacation destination.

The level of detail that women often remember—the odd specific desire or one-time preference—makes their partners feel noticed.

Except here, these are the people who compiled the list, and that’s why the video went viral.

People lost it in the comments

One person wrote in the comments: “I want to applaud the person who put period snacks in their notes.”

Others warned that “if we don’t pay attention, someone else will.”

“Adding this to my ‘good people exist’ list as proof,” a third wrote.

Others were simply stunned, with one asking: “Oh my god, would a man do this?”

Finally, someone wrote: “I love it, study your woman like she is your favorite subject”.
