Use sex as a drug

The goal is not sober. The purpose is to love yourself so you don’t feel the need to escape through addiction.
Sex and porn addicts have certain characteristics. One of these common characteristics is that we use compulsive sexual fantasies and behaviors as drugs. For us, sexual fantasy and behavior are not about feeling good and having a good time. They have little feeling, escape from our lives. We don’t want to feel lonely, anxious, angry, or ashamed, so we distract from the intensity of sexual thoughts and actions. Unfortunately, the escape is temporary. When we show up in addiction, no matter what we try not to feel there is still, it usually feels introverted or shameful about the behavior we just engage in.
