Trendy New York hotel offers ‘self-love pods’ for singles

The Walker Hotel Tribeca in New York City has launched a “self-love pod” that allows guests to get intimate with themselves.

Anyone can book this masturbation experience, and until September (Sexual Health Awareness Month), staff will transform ordinary hotel rooms into spaces where guests can satisfy themselves.

Guests, especially recently single women, are invited to use their hotel stay to “re-explore their sexuality.”

“Much of the discussion around sexual health has focused on couples, so the hotel has launched a service for singles who want to feel more comfortable with their sexuality and sense of self,” a representative told The Washington Post.

Those who sign up for the service will find a special set of amenities in their room: adaptogen drinks by Recess, FABLERUNE fragrance oils and soaps, a journal by Grow Into, and an in-room meditation on self-love curated by Cacti Wellness that allows people to relax before orgasming with Maude’s egg-shaped sex toy.

Guests are advised to put a “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door and enjoy the 3-speed exterior Drop Massager, a full body and erogenous zone massager. You can enjoy it to your heart’s content – for up to two hours.

To explore self-care outside of their rooms, guests can head to Othership, a sought-after bathhouse in the Flatiron District, for free-flow or guided meditation.

“The package aims to prioritize self-care and self-love, encouraging guests to reconnect with their body and mind through multiple forms of wellness,” the online description states.

For masturbation, Walker Hotel Tribeca charges a host fee starting at $350.

There was a lot of interest. Ten guests booked the package in the first week.

With solo travel and wellness travel on the rise, this new hotel package combines both trends with an element of sexiness.

The news comes at an opportune time as health officials warn that the rise in life-threatening sexually transmitted infections (STIs) is “out of control”.
