The reaction of people to partner finance sparked the Prenup debate:

A fierce debate began online after a man discovered his partner didn’t want to share her money with him while recording a podcast.

The couple Kino and Edith recently appeared in an episode of Joe Budden’s podcast and were asked about their feelings about prenuptial agreements, a legally binding document in which people protect their financial assets in a relationship.

Keno said he “didn’t even think about one person” and wanted to work together financially.

He added: “She may also have more money than me.”

This is where things get awkward.

Edith shares whatever money she wants to protect herself from making money before the relationship begins.

She explained that she was a very important prenuptial agreement because she had been married before and wanted her assets to turn to her children.

“Everything we’re together is different,” Edith said, but any assets or money she had before a relationship “are my kids.”

She added that she didn’t “expect anything” financially from Kino, so she thought it was fair for them to keep the money until the relationship was separated.

When she was asked about her reasoning again, she calmly explained that since she had been married before and had assets in this relationship, she thought sharing was incorrect.

“It belongs to my child,” she said.

Keno looks clearly subjected to this position, and the host jokes that he may be “rethinking” everything now.

“What is she talking about?” he said.

Keno said he “didn’t even think about one person” and wanted to work together financially.

Keno also expressed “no, no” opinion on Edith’s point of view, and even squeezed her thighs a little bit in shock.

But Edith said unwaveringly, she repeatedly explained that she wanted her money to turn towards a child rather than a fully grown man.

Kino then asked if he “needed” money, or if he wanted to give it to him, and she said, “Obviously,” it would be different if he needed financial support, but she hoped it was her discretion and was not ready to combine all the money.

The clip is shared on X and has accumulated over 32 million views. One account captioned the clip, “It’s crazy to find out that your girl gets more money on the podcast than you do”.

Online, people are divided over Edith’s disagreement.

Some view it from a mom’s perspective, while others claim that if the gender is reversed, it wouldn’t be considered fair for her to keep her money.

One person said: “If the role is reversed, if some people say she can’t encounter the marriage he brought beforehand, then some people will work together.”

“I’m sure you wouldn’t feel it if it were the opposite.

Another tagged it as a “double standard” while others said, “Sorry, she’s 100% correct.”

One said they “fully understand” why she is protecting her child’s protection for her new partner.

Another claimed that they were “embarrassed” by Kino when he asked if he needed to give him money.

One person said, “Say but ‘I need’ when she repeatedly says the money is for the child, it’s insanity.”
