The groom says Ex's name in the oath - the bride smiles and breathes

It’s a memorable wedding – all the wrong names.

Andrew and Rebecca Filmes tied knots in the British countryside in 2023 when the groom accidentally exploded from his romantic past – blurring his ex-girlfriend’s name in the middle of his oath.

The Bedfordshire bride’s eternal honor for her, did not emerge in the Tafta tornado. She smiled. The guest smiled. Andrew even smiled. internet? Not that tolerant.

This moment was posted to Tiktok on July 28, showing the celebrity’s prompt: “I’ll take you, Rebecca Sarah Joan Qureshi…”

Andrew held the bride’s hand and replied, “I’ll take you, Sarah…”

Prompt gasps and giggles.

Rebecca – See the interesting side kindly. “His ex-girlfriend’s name is Sarah. [and] The same goes for one of my middle names,” she explained to Newsweek.

“I know he was nervous and slipped.”

To her credit, the bride wasn’t in the Taffeta twist – she smiled. The guest smiled. Even the groom laughed. internet? Yes…not that much. Serhii -Stock.adobe.com

Rebecca continued, “I’m more outgoing and social.” “Andy [short for Andrew] More introverted and wise. ”

Despite this, the error is undeniable. “He didn’t even realize he had abandoned ‘Rebecca’,” she recalled. “I told him and he said, ‘I’m so sorry, I was so nervous that I did something wrong.’ We laughed.”

Rebecca’s Tiktok post (@scalesfeathersandfur) added over 30,000 views with the subtitle “Oh dear” and made a comment section between sympathy and scorching remarks.

One viewer wrote: “To be fair, I think he was named in the wrong order just because of anxiety.

“Rose and Rachel…I mean Emily moments,” one commenter joked, citing the infamous “Rose says Rachel” moments.

Others didn’t buy it: “Oh no, that’s awful. I’ll be frustrated.”

One user called it “instant cancel romance.” Another person attributed it to the worries of the wedding day: “This happens when you are nervous…”

A person simply calls it “don’t do it.”

It seems that she took “Sarah” out of the oath, but did not come out of her happy couple.

And, she was hardly the first British bride to see her big day appearance.

As the post previously reported, one of the bride’s Yorkshire fathers accidentally advanced into the aisle without a daughter, while another groom was “humiliated” after a prank garter switched the bride to the bride to the groom.

Ultimately, whether it’s a name drip, aisle-stroll mix, or a scammer wearing clothes, wedding day mistakes can be lived for free in everyone’s memory and over the years on the internet.
