The couple staged a fake offer to get free drinks – not

Fakes from husbands to wife in restaurant for free drinks sparked heated debate

She said “yes” – but people aren’t that happy with the couple.

A woman posted a video on X revealing her and her husband pulling a stunt in a restaurant that sparked a heated debate online.

“My husband assumed last night proposed to get us a free drink,” Jaela Bumpas captioned the video with a laughing emoji.

The video, taken by onlookers, shows Bumpas’s husband’s knees and appears to propose to her within the Moana Surfrider resort in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Other restaurant customers applauded and cheered as the husband picked up his wife and whipped her and kissed her.

No one else in the restaurant knows about this kind of deception. But once Los Angeles women posted the truth on social media, it quickly reached more than 38.2 million views and 462,000 likes.

People are right or cruel about stunt performances.

“You stole it from the restaurant you are in, and you are proud to post it on X, and 347,000 people liked the post. Sad comments about many levels,” one wrote.

Someone declared: “I think theft.”

Another commented: “Doing people is not what you think is a victory.”

Others said: “A person like this would ruin such sweet gestures for all real people.”

Others are better at this idea.

User said: “lmaooo I love people who have the same humor date.”

Someone pointed out: “Technically, this is not a scam because you do get married.”

“Did you never fake your birthday to get free dessert before you start judging?” Another question.

One wrote: “God forbids a man from having fun and enjoying sweet enjoyment through his own naughty plan.”

One of the people in the response asked if it worked, and Bonpas replied, “Yes” – but she told com Today that it was not a restaurant that gave them free drinks, but another customer sent them to a margarita.

Bumpas also told the media that it reached a point where comments turned black.

“A lot of people reach out and it feels good, but it’s also a frustrating experience due to racism,” Bumpas told Today. “It made me want to delete tweets a lot because it started to become more racist.”
